  1. As of this post all five books are scheduled for grading!
  2. My wife and I bought our daughter comic books for toddlers and she loves 'um. She also flips through the pages of all my 10 cent books and points out the characters she knows like the boilerplate Spider-Man, Superman, etc. My daughter's name is Namora so she's got a good start.
  3. Some years ago I had an addiction of trying to collect the complete series. It wasn't hard, although as stated before, there aren't any real valuable issues to slab nowadays besides 72 and maybe 19. All-in-all the series is an awesome read of which I couldn't recommend more. Glad I found another MCP junkie!
  4. I seriously wish I didn't have adult responsibilities so I could watch all these in succession.
  5. Could not agree with you more. Marvel Comics Presents has a figurative handful of keys but #72 should be gigantic in the collecting world. Doesn't even get a sniff, all things considered.
  6. X-Factor 5, 6, 15 X-Force 11 X-Force 19 Marvel Comics Presents 72 Off the top of my head...
  7. Great survey for the answers you're trying to gauge. Kudos.
  8. Years ago, for my birthday, my wife bought me a slabbed Uncanny X-Men #120 (Alpha Flight's first appearance)........graded 4.5. Her heart was in the right place and although I didn't ask, I'm pretty sure she overpaid. BUT, I'll never sell it and I'll always have it on display; I just don't like to look at it.
  9. Silver Sable's first appearance (ASM #265) is increasing in value and I just don't understand as to why. Other than the recent video game appearance, I don't see the connection.
  10. There's nothing not to like about this cover. If you're a Spawn fan, this embodies all that is Spawn...and Venom.
  11. On another note that I'm POSITIVE someone's mentioned before, the wait times are what they are because of the standards CGC uphold (and a little bit because they're backlogged). If submissions on any tier were marked shipped in 1-2 weeks opposed to what it is now, there would be a possible uproar because we'd know the care and quality isn't there.
  12. I know nothing of financial decisions in relation to business but you'd think, by now at least, there'd be more than one location within the USA. East coast, West coast, Midwest, something. Not sure if that would diminish quality but it would definitely help with ETA's on all tiers.
  13. Five books submitted for grading (no pre-screen, all moderns), verified on 2/20. Because I'm bored and an introvert, I'll post here when books are marked shipped!
  14. Your answer is more than anything I could find on the site itself. Thanks!
  15. Submitted 5 books that were received by CGC two weeks ago and "Verified" 2/20. Any clue as to when I will actually be invoiced/billed for the books? It hasn't hit my account yet and wondering when it will. Thanks!
  16. I did some generic google searches and couldn't find out. I've never read the book and now I'm curious too. Only thing I could guess is Penguin?
  17. For probably the 2nd-3rd time in my life, I can finally post LOL for real.
  18. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I don't see any appeal to this.
  19. We all think we can do something like this but actually doing it are two different things.
  20. They didn't even try to make it different.
  21. Interesting article: same principle but for novel covers. https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2012/07/book-cover-clones-why-do-so-many-recent-novels-look-alike/259884/
