Can you give me an example of a facsimile that does not have a reprinted story? Thanks!

No because all facsimiles are reprints. But there are plenty of reprints that aren't facsimiles. For example reprints with variant covers, comics that reprint multiple titles, like Marvel Tales. And second and third printings that came out roughly the same time as the first printing I feel don't really qualify as facsimiles.

8.0/8.5 , not sure a C&P will help based on the defects I see. Of course that is based on the pics, so if you see things in hand it may that a C&P will be needed just to ensure the estimated grade based on the pics

You honestly think someone will watch No Way Home and decide NOW is the time to drop 75k on an AF15??...

Maybe not at this current moment, but No Way Home was extremely successful. There are kids that will remember this movie into adulthood. And people are always trying to relive their childhood.

CGC's "fun and games" or "prank" or "stunt" or whatever you want to call it here doesn't mean they aren't working on QC issues or don't take the rest of the business seriously.

Only they aren't taking their company seriously because if suspicions are confirmed, a company has the ability to contact CGC and literally purchase grades. It's not "fun and games, or a prank, or a stunt. It was a bad business decision they refuse to explain themselves for. They advertise themselves as impartial. They should stick to that.

Don't you miss the good old days when he used to sign all of his books for free with his classic McFarlance signature using his silver sprinkly pen?  (thumbsu

I remember getting one of my Spidey 300's signed by him as he used to live here when he was doing his Spidey books and would show up at the local cons. :applause:

With the Signature Series in place though, I guess CGC would consider this to be a defect or Qualified book and downgrade it accordingly, because they didn't end up making any money from the book.  And yet, if they are there to verify it and make their money, it's all good even though the signature might end up looking more like a shopping list as opposed to a true signature:  :fear::sick:  :censored:

Bronze Age (1970-1979):Superhero, The Incredible Hulk #181 Signature Series: Stan Lee and Others (Marvel, 1974) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white pages....

What is this atrocity? "Spiderman meets the Wolverine?!?!?"

  6. Is there actually quality control at CGC? I 100 percent am seriously thinking they may have quietly removed that step from the process to try to speed up grading on the massive volume of books they are getting in. I imagine there's alot of problems where people just won't go through the hassle of sending the book back. Every single submission I have sent out has had some small problem with some of the books. Misspelled words. Small cracks. Missing notations. It might be cheaper for them to just send back books with errors. It's cheaper to just fix the books that get returned rather than every single one. I can not be convinced that a book that was put in the holder upside down went through any sort of quality control.
