Plus, at 30 you want to live a little. Congrats on being 30 and buying a house. That has gone from 'challenging' to 'practically impossible' in the past few years - you are one of the fortunate ones to have locked that in. Good on you for gettin' it done.

Thank you! The timing was perfect and I live in a smaller tourist town so prices weren’t insane yet. My neighbor, who has a similar layout to mine, just sold theirs for 140k more than what I paid. If I were in the market today it would have been practically impossible without selling off some of the best pieces in my collection.

I had a ~$20k package of CGC books go missing.  Spent 3 weeks calling with no luck.  Package was shipped registered.  My wife went to the local post office, asked if they had it which they promptly gave to her.  Had just been sitting at the local PO.

I had a similar issue but as the seller. A few years back I sold a book registered mail through my local PO. It took two weeks to go from Georgia to Texas and then disappeared. After a week with no updates, I opened a claim. After four more weeks with nothing updating, the buyer drove three hours to the last place it was scanned. Turned out the package was sitting there but was flagged because it wasn't initially marked correctly at my PO. Instead of marking it in their back-end intranet system as being held, that location just put it to the side. If the buyer never drove to that location it probably wouldn't have been "found". This was the last time I used registered mail.

No, his piece was created long before Jeff ever went to a comic convention. Which ones are you referring to?

Heroes Con 1994 program back cover/ 2023 front cover. Jeff sent a drawing in a reply letter saying he would do the show and they could use this image for the program. I've spoken to the owner about it once a while ago and I believe it was a pencil sketch he had inked by a few different artists. The other is a cover from the Bone run. It was gifted years ago when Bone was still coming out.

I’ve been to Mountain Man Comics and that’s a great shop you’ve got there in Blue Ridge. Comics in the mountains! 🙂

Congrats on the sale. WM is a superb title.

Thank you! I hope you got to see it when we had all the slabs. It was a cool couple years when are walls were just major keys.

Thank you but it's back up for sale. The previous buyer bought it for his son as a gift, but it was the wrong SOTI book he was needing.
