  1. Another super duper show today. Sold a whole bunch of silver age keys today. Looks like dealers (and customers alike) will be heading to the Philadelphia conic con on august 15 and then head up to Wayne NJ on Sunday August 22. Great news that the mighty Clifton show returns on September 12 and every second Sunday thereafter. After more then a year away it will be a madhouse!
  2. Coming soon. There will be at least one vendor there with the NEW over street price guides! Tons of great books in the room.
  3. Old bridge is this Sunday. The show rocks on a consistent basis. Worth the drive.
  4. Two shows to mention for our Southern comic fans this coming weekend. On Friday through Sunday will be a card, toy and comic show being held at the North Carolina State fairgrounds in the Scott Kerr building. Friday from 2 to 7, Saturday from 9 to 4 and Sunday from 10 to 4. Please note this is mostly a sports card show but there have been some serious books in the room in the past and will be again this weekend. Just a handful of comic dealers in this 200 table show. I know there will be an AF 15 in the room along with a whole bunch of key issues from the 40’s to 70’s as Gene Carpenter of All-American Comics will be setting up. There will also be some very reasonably priced supplies including my lites and backing boards which have gotten both tougher to find and also pricier. Admission is a very reasonable $5 per person. The promoter is Tidewater cards and collectibles. If you Google that you will find the website for his shows/store. On Saturday July 24 Gene will leave his box stock in Raleigh and take his wall books to the one day Comic Con in Richmond Virginia. Hours 11 to 4 with a VIP package getting you in at 10:30 to be the first to check out all the goodies and perhaps find some sweet deals in this big event space. This is a true comic con and the local fans have been waiting for more than a year for this popular event to return. Please note you have to purchase your tickets beforehand. Don’t just show up clutching your cash in hand expecting to buy a ticket as everything including dealers booths have to be done online. Website for this con is vacomicon.com. That will get you a whole lot more information including an extensive vendors list and ticket info. Also to note Gene will bring his wall books back to Raleigh Sunday but in his absence on Saturday his walls will be filled with other great comics including very eye appealing books like Avengers 1 and 57 plus other low to high grade keys from the 60’s to more modern times.
  5. A friend of mine is looking to buy bulk so if coming to the con bring along a few boxes you don’t want anymore or pm me. Also buying key issues.
  6. Very cool to hear that Gene Carpenter of All-American Comics has been added to the dealer list. Making the trek all the way from Maryland.
  7. Has some resto. Professional. To my eye appears like a 7.5 but I think he has it graded tighter than I. Priced very reasonable compared to a few others.
  8. An AF 15 will be for sale along with other great comics as Gene Carpenter is making the trek all the way from Maryland to do this show.
  9. Bump. Coming up soon. Still looking for Spider-Man keys along with a few in the teens and twenties for a customer. Also a Super Duper comics 3
  10. Show was quite strong dollar wise. ALL dealers did very well with sales. Next date is august 15 then September 26. Old bridge this Saturday! Look for the separate post for that show.
  11. It is the return of the Philadelphia Comic-Cin this Sunday June 6th. Hours 10 AM to 4 PM and admission is only $4 per person. Kids 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult. Things are loosening up now but if capacity is still not 100% then we may have to have people wait in the foyer. As of now it is fifty percent but that should be fine as we get a good sized crowd but they attend at different times during the day. No early birds please and looks like masks are still required. being held in the Presidential ballroom of the Clarion hotel and conference center, 76 Industrial Highway (route 291), Essington PA 19029. Conveniently located between exits 8 and 9A off of I95. Don’t drive? No worries as Septa bus route 37 stops directly in front of the hotel grounds then just a 200 foot walk to the front door of the hotel. special guest artist GW Fisher will be there along with vendors from four states packing the room with comics from the 30’s to this month, funko pops, collecting supplies, art, trade paperbacks, trading cards and a lot more stuff will be for sale. Our dealers also buy and trade anywhere from one book to entire collections. For more info the promoter Derek Woywood can be reached via email which is dwoywood@yahoo,com or send him a text 856-217-5737. Three tables are still open. Usually sold out so now is a great opportunity to sell a few things and put some money in your pocket as we are expecting a good sized crowd throughout the day. On Facebook? Then like PhiladelphiaConicCon or ComicBookShows.
