  1. Golden age artwork was considered worthless just part of the process. One story is a publisher used it to insulate the walls of his house.
  2. Golden age artwork from DC and Marvel/Atlas is very rare. I own one cover from Timely by John Buscema from 1949. I dint think I have ever seen a Bill Everett original cover from the golden age.
  3. Just under 2 days til Comiclink auctions for X-Men Hidden Years #3 page 13 and 14 ends. https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1708448#detail https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1708447
  4. X-Men Hidden Years #3 page 13 Pencils by John Byrne and inks by Tome Palmer This page features an adventure in the Savage Land and includes Havok, Lorna Dane, Ka-Zar, Jean Grey, Magneto and his lackey, Amphibius. This was before Lorna adopted the superhero name "Polaris". On this page, Lorna and Havok are having a discussion about what her name could be. John Byrne returned to both pencil and write the story of the previously undocumented tales of the X-Men in between X-Men #66 (the end of the original team's title in 1970) and Giant-size X-Men #1 (the famous 1975 debut of the second team of X-Men). 6. Donnelley's used to have a store in San Mateo CA back in the 80s and 90s. Mostly comic books but they would bring in OA to sell.
  7. Could you share this with the seller and ask if he has my ghost rider page

  9. Great turnout for the SDCC OA Dinner 2023, we ended up with 20 people some one comers some old. Everyone had a great time, thank you for everyone who attended. Til next year.....
  10. Upped it to 25 for tomorrow, biggest group for the dinner in years. if people can get there before 8:30 the better to start your order.
  11. I have made reservations for 20 thursday at 8:30. If you can get there earlier the better as the kitchen closes at 9pm and need to get all the orders in by then. The numbers usually change people drop out for other things so please contact me if there is a change. Be seeing you.
  12. we have had ones in the past of 15-20 people
  13. I am having my annual SDCC OA dinner on thrusday July 20th at Edgewater Grill. Message me if you want to attend, let me know if you will be bringing anyone. Brian Peck
  14. I have reunited one issue, X-Men #30 by Andy Kubert and Matt Ryan including the cover. I am one page away from reuniting Uncanny X-Men #308 by John Romita Jr and Dan Green
  15. Yup same as mine. USPS should find out who was working those three times.
  16. I always forget about CC, rarely remember to check what's up there. Only won a few pieces from CC over the years.
  17. Where were the last locations the two packages were last listed in USPS system?
  18. Sprang recreation covers have been going for around $5K for a while, Batman #66 s one of the weaker covers, Batman #149 has better images of all three characters so I expected it to go on the high side. See alot of Sprang recreations in HA, seems like at least one per Signature auction.
  19. That did go higher than I expected. Don't understand why they list Jeff Austin ink assists but not on the other Faust #5 page. Thought Tim Tyler was the one who assisted on Faust
  20. Very steep, I bought two X-Men pages from Jim at Wonder Con 1990. One for $100 with Rogue and Ms Marvel fighting. The other for $125 with Wolverine plus some of the women in his life. No don’t own them anyway sold/trade them years ago.
  21. I always preferred Green over Lee, old school inks compared to Williams and the Image style.
