Ok, its not Golden Age, but its still funny . . .

Nobody has posted here in a while. We’ve seen some stock market turbulence, the Mile High Planet sale, and multiple Cap 1s listed since the last post. And now we are in the big middle of Christmas holidays. I’ve sort of lost touch with where we are. Are PCH and GGA still a hot genre? Is it the hottest genre?

Another Bat 1 has shown up on eBay. It’s a brittle 1.5. I’ll be interested to see what it sells for. I’m going to update an earlier posting to include a couple of books that I just now completed payment on. This is my top 3 from 2018, and thus begins for me a period of dormancy. I may dabble with little stuff. Or not. This is harder than giving up smoking

I think most serious buyers are sourcing their buy money from the stock market, and believe me they feel what is happening now. A slowdown from them may produce a bit of turbulence felt throughout the hobby

Does this happen often? I’d followed and participated in that thread, and learned new stuff about Tommy Thorson’s collection of PreRobin Tecs. I thought the thread meandered a lot of directions, but found it interesting and informative

True. But I think there’s more Cap fans coming into the hobby than Subby or HT fans. At least at this point in cinema history

The Pep 22 would be a hard book for me to own, for the same reason you point out on the All Star 8: the character whose significance you treasure is no where to be seen. It’s inside the book, and out of view. Archie might as well be on the dark side of the moon. I don’t crack em out so that’s no solution for me. So my choices get made with the realities/limitations of the CGC holder. I think it would become a source of irritation for me that all I can see is 2 1940’s characters with whom I have no connection.
