  1. The opinion itself is as unreadable as Sanskrit to me, but I took a quick look at and found nothing helpful to your question. But if you want to read it yourself, here’s the link: https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-2nd-circuit/1113903.html here are a couple excerpts btw: your evidence stickers actually belong to the trial held at the state level, which preceded the federal action. They are easily distinguishable from the evidence stamps on the court copies of, say, Action 10. The Action 10 is from a federal trial I researched Westlaw for the state case, in which your piece was used as an exhibit, but couldn’t find it. The caption for your state case is at the very bottom
  2. Probably. For now, maybe for always. But so far not for its characters so much as the beginning of the Marvel world. I think Cap holds greater appeal to a broader spectrum of people, but Marvel Comics 1 is the beginning of a dynasty HEY @Wayne-Tec, you musta hit the enter key a nanosecond before me
  3. It has shown signs of life, hasn’t it? 13 days left on the Heritage book
  4. Interesting. Seems like you’ve got legit pages and that they were once in @bluechips possession. Small world, and good news for you!
  5. You had these exact pages? I can’t be understanding this right. These pages are far from brittle. They appear to be bright white. but I recognize your expertise surpasses my own. Just trying to understand. you think these pages appear legit, right?
  6. What a fun story! Good job identifying her. Too bad it was too late to attempt reaching out to her
  7. I don’t know if they are legit, but they are whiter than I would expect. Somebody else is gonna have to jump in here. Hey @bluechip, do you know?
  8. March 31st, the day I started this thread, was the day I heard back from him. Here is a copy of what I received: Yes, That's Me Tue, Mar 31, 2020 8:35 am Bruce Lehr (lehrrb@fastmail.com)To:you Details Hello Clark: Yes, I'm the guy. 25 years ago I sold my childhood collection of comic books to a comic book store in Harrisburg, PA. As a kid, I stamped my name on them because all "the gang" shared comic books with each other and many got lost. Unfortunately, when I sold them, I was told that they were defaced by doing that and it diminished the value. As a result, I didn't realize the price I had hoped for. Live and learn, I guess, but I wasn't thinking of ever parting with them back then. I also sold my collection of Big Little Books at the time. Believe it or not, Somerton back then, was a rural "village" tucked away in the northwest corner of the northeast part of Philadelphia County. Regards, Bruce
  9. Unfortunately, I didn't think to ask those questions in my first email. But yours was a great idea, and I followed up with a second email. Unfortunately, he never answered back. I fear age and infirmity may have caught up with the OO, and I'm feeling fortunate to have even gotten any response at all.
  10. Wow. That was a once in a lifetime experience. Absolutely surreal.
  11. It’s hard to reconcile this dry rendition of his life with the excitement he no doubt felt when he first got his hands on these books
  12. This philosophy works into my strategy, which is to jump at every bright shiny object I see
  13. Interesting. First Heritage took a Cap 1 off their exchange (“make offer to seller”) and put it into their regular auction. And now Clink has done the same. The part I don’t get is that Clink is saying they first sold the book a few days ago for $122k before it came out the other end into their current auction
  14. That’s a risky flip unless a reserve has been put down, and I see that there is, in fact, a reserve. Are reserves normal for Clink?
