  1. Truthfully, page 5 is the better page since it has the Action 1 cover image. Page 6 only has the Action 7 cover image. But I appreciate the enthusiasm!
  2. It’s not his first leap. That’s page 3, I think. But your comment made me realize Superman has resorted to running across the telephone wires because he doesn’t fly yet!
  3. You are correct. No 3 minute extended bidding. The one right before it went into extended bidding, and in which I was participating. Since the Action 10 had no extended bidding, it actually finished before mine did
  4. Well the court copy of Action 10 went for $77k. I stayed on the sidelines and nabbed an Action 1 page instead. This way I won’t wake up in the middle of the night smacking myself on the forehead
  5. I don't understand that. The GPA says this "Court Copy" of Action 10 went for $45k in 2012. Then I see 6 years later in 2018 there was a 3.0 that went for the price you named above. GPA doesn't dub the 2018 book as the "Court Copy", but that makes more sense now. If that's the case, then this price is the opposite of crazy high. It's crazy low. Sheesh, I'd been watching this one. You are finding this info in CC archives?
  6. This is a crazy price, and can only assume its due to the obvious: its THE court copy. Endlessly cool
  7. @Comics181 That’s a great way to start back! but I do not understand the CGC policy on trimming of these individual pages. First of all, your page doesn’t even look trimmed to begin with. Second, it would seem to me that ALL single pages had to have been trimmed one way or another in the process of removal from the book. Isn’t any cutting of paper considered trimming? for instance, consider the below page. Clearly this page got cut out of a book. Yet, blue label p.s. I may be speaking heresy here, but I like single pages. I think they will become more and more embraced as key books remain beyond the means of most. And in this age of encapsulation, it’s nice to catch a glimpse of the actual inside art and story(I only wish I could rekindle the magic of looking thru my eyes as a 7 year old - I guess it depends on how much I’ve had to drink)
  8. So someone else will fix the problem? i wonder how accurate the census really is
  9. Me too That, and the Kane signature has gone from “writing on cover” to Verified
  10. eBay “Comic-warehouse” may be a boardie since he seems knowledgeable on the “dot, no dot” issue. His marketing skills are on full display since he refers to it as a “Rare Variant”. people don’t normally go from a CGC holder to one of the other guys. I see a couple different possible explanations
  11. Well this is troubling . . and on just so many levels. Here is the “Before” pic:
  12. That is my favorite Schomburg cover, and you have a nice book there. The 37s tend to get miscut a lot, and many of them have Schomburg's name cut off the bottom. Yours is cut right. Let's get a CVA sticker on that sucker
  13. Frazetta is the better artist, but he doesn’t scream out “golden age comics” like schomburg. And I can’t go with you on the “overrated”
  14. Gee but the snowflakes . . . (but seriously, are you questioning the accuracy of a comic book cover? Let’s not rip open that lid. Ain’t none of us gonna like what we find down in there)
  15. wait, what am I missing. did the books get cooked? Oh, I see it now. That's quite a turnaround from the preliminary results. I guess we can just look for our suspects in the fanbase for those artists with the most dramatic turnaround. This has sort of wrecked the fun for me now, too i have a message for the parties responsible:
  16. I hadn't noticed the reference. I'll hafta go back and look now. It could well be the first reference, and when Stan Lee came on board by Cap 3, he may have squirreled the idea away
