  1. As someone who suffers from depression, there is still a lot of thought from the old days around. "What do you have to be sad about? Buck up, buttercup!" In fact, I didn't start making any progress toward getting better until I, myself, recognized that depression is no different than any other disease, such as diabetes or Parkinsons.
  2. This has been addressed, to some degree, by rape shield laws.
  3. Although it is far too late, I would have suggested that he stay off social media for an extended period of time. After a while, these Internet bullies move on to someone else.
  4. @sfcityduck, I have no doubt that you are correct regarding suicide being a crime in many states. However, I just have to ask. What is the point of having a law against suicide? Are you going to arrest a person who is already deceased? As I have said many times, I just don't get it.
  5. I had never even heard of him until I read this thread.
  6. Hello, everyone. I am new to betting, and I want to place a bet on the Iowa-LSU game tomorrow night. Can someone please explain what these numbers mean? I understand that Iowa is considered to be a 1.5 point favorite. As I understand it, if I bet on Iowa to win, they must win by 2 points or more for me to win my bet. If I bet on LSU to win, their score must be within 1 point of Iowa for me to win my bet. I also understand the Over/Under bet. What I don't understand is the last column titled Money. I also understand that Las Vegas might not actually consider Iowa to be a 1.5 point favorite, but they are setting that number to encourage more betting.
  7. I think Sherlock Holmes might have a bone to pick with you.
  8. I only know about this issue: Just so you know, I am no way a Sgt. Fury completist, so there might be others.
  9. I wasn't suggesting that Stan Lee was imitating those ideas. I was just saying that the idea of an intelligent gorilla had been done multiple times before.
  10. If you've ever read any books like DC's Strange Adventures, you would know that intelligent gorillas were not uncommon.
  11. Does anyone think the sentence, "I've got the strangest feeling I'm being turned into a puppet." ever occurred in another comic?
  12. Well, if I had that $20K, I would sell my current copy of FF #1 CGC 2.5 and my current copy of ASM #1 CGC 3.0 to give me an amount around $38K, which I could use to buy a FF #1 CGC 4.0 and an ASM #1 CGC 5.5.
