  1. Thanks to @Ladic Midtown Comics has 193 1st print available for $10 per, limit 1 per customer. If anyone missed it and wants a copy for themselves.
  2. Everyone has dark thoughts, it is how they respond to them that matters. My offer to tigers extends to anyone on here. If you, (not directed at you maidenmate9), needs someone to talk to for any reason. Message me. I will gladly call you and just chat. Bird's post of the hotline number is another great resource and should not be frowned upon. Anytime just by being a decent human being a life can be saved, please do it.
  3. Pretty much exactly it. I was not captured with the story to want to continue with it honestly.
  4. Thank you for this. Knowing someone was able to make sure he was at least ok, puts some ease on it. @tigers comics If you need anything, we are here for you.
  5. I agree with Bird. Please reach out to someone if you need to talk or anything! PM me if you need to talk with your phone number I will call you if that is what you need! ~Crops / Brian~
  6. From the main CGC page under CGC Grading is a link to Signature Series. It gives you the information you need to answer this question. Here is a link to it as well. https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/
  7. Mike Zek a couple times at cons and on FB. Scott Williams at a con and here on the forums. Joe Rubinstein and Jim Lee (briefly) at a con. Zeck and Williams, both class acts. I highly recommend them both if you are looking for anything signed they have worked on. They are truly great individuals to converse/interact with. Zeck is the reason I have ventured into signed comics. Rubinstein, he was pretty off putting at first until I asked to have a picture taken with him and my son. He opened up pretty quickly then and was pretty cool. I am guessing he thought I was just a flipper instead of a collector just making memories with my kiddo. Jim Lee was very brief, but seemed really excited to have so many people in line to see him specifically.
  8. Might not be Marvel but I am getting the Rick label on a 192 getting signed by Kirkman, but that is because he dies. In general I not a fan of the original Marvel labels, if they had a cool looking black suit spidey maybe but meh. I was not a fan of any of these new line until I saw the Virgin Venom with the Infinity Gauntlet. The new Venom label, I though, looked really sharp on it. But that is the only time I have thought that yet.
  9. Man that is terrible. So you have the paperwork and know the cert numbers. Could CGC not provide the info on where they books were sent to? Maybe even getting the police involved they could get the information?
  10. It will be considered it's own print version. It has The End at the top which was a change from 1st to 2nd print though. 1st print was "The Farm House" instead. Also where Second Printing would be labeled is comic-con exclusive instead.
  11. I can give you some first hand experience from the Jim Lee Experience. I did it at Fan Expo Dallas last May. It was a 1hr time slot for each, the line started well before 3 it seemed but I showed up around 3:30 for the 4pm Ultimate experience. Jim came out around 4:05 or so and jumped right into signing and selfies. He spent a little time with each person. It was a really great interaction imo and well worth the money spent. I can tell you expect a crowd, there was a TON of people waiting for the unwitnessed slot.
  12. I think you might be better off saving your slab money for something better. Just put those in nice bags and boards and if the time comes later on and you need the money sell them that way.
  13. Oh man, you are right. Now I see it as lips instead of teeth! THANK YOU, it was nightmare fuel as teeth.
  14. If so he would be able to pry it open, right? Unless they glued it shut, but then I would expect some sort of residue to be seen.
  15. Nothing I see in the picture that jives with a slab that has been tampered with. What am I missing, Kav?
  16. I am a tad torn on this "service" but I hope it helps the market and doesn't hurt TATs. Hmmm they could just push all the images from Ebay into the spare a grade forum and get the answers there and pay us a nominal fee/slab credit?
  17. Recommend looking up pricing on them, if you feel the investment is worth it then go for it. I don't personally have any love for Major X so I likely wouldn't slab it (but that is just me), GoCollect has 9.6 FMV at around $55, could a pressing bump it to 9.8? Then it MIGHT be worth it, but does it have staying power in the market is also a valid question? Out of the others the only one that shows FMV raw above $100 is possibly Naomi (I just did a quick GoCollect search to be honest) and that all depends on condition. You also have to determine are these for you to sell or keep? If you are selling then look at the best return in what you have paid, only you can really decide that. Might also recommend popping anything you are on the fence about the condition in the Hey Buddy Spare a Grade forum. You might be able to get an idea if they would be better serve selling raw instead of slabbing or even pressing to get a chance at a 9.8.
