  1. I've never seen the book, but it must be a 1970s publication. #3 and #4 scream Bronze Age, and almost certainly no longer apply in current continuity. It is a cool 1978 Tempo paperback, I had used it two summers ago(?) here for a Friday quiz thread, then book got tucked away and recently resurfaced!
  2. Clarification: #6 has two answers, it should have been phrased "Who works at radio staion WHIZ and who works at WGBS-TV", question was taken directly from the book and may not be clear.
  3. Here's a few: 1. Who attends Milford High? 2. Who went to Maumee University? 3. Who attends Hudson University? 4. Whose address is 344 Clinton St? 5. Who lives on Wump St? 6. Who works at radio staion WHIZ and and who works at WGBS-TV? (poached from "The World's Greatest Comics Quiz" by Jerry Robinson)
  4. Nik, Nik He's our man! If he can't run a pain-in-the-- Grading Contest after having parts of two fingers chopped off in a bizarre snowblowing accident No on can!
  5. A couple of pre-code horror books listed tonight in the Forum Only Marketplace, nice bondage covers! Mysterious Adventures #21 Dark Mysteries #19 Wicked Cool Pre-Code Horror Link
  6. Really? Really I was trying to be funny, but I couldn't find the smacking myself graemlin;) I love the covers you and the others have posted...as for the male nudity...I think it's a guy thing.....for female nudity in comics...I just find it curious that it's in there. Riiiiight. Next your going to tell us you just read the comics for the articles.
  7. Those are really neat, but more importantly Pats are going to the Superbowl!
  8. This info from http://www.supermanartists.comics.org/dchistory/DCHISTORY-1.htm November, 1934: Sally the Sleuth by Adolphe Barreaux is the first comic strip published in Spicy Detective. Most of Donenfeld's pulps carry a comic strip after this point. (thumbs u Cool! Thanks! Another genre to collect! Spicy Detective was the title I was thinking of (Dan Turner, Hollywood Detective).
  9. Anyone know when the first comic was included in a pulp? I know there was the 40's Detective(title escapes me right now) and the previously posted Out of This World. I have this two page ditty from a 12/37 Rangeland Romances pulp, wondering if anyone knows of earlier examples.
  10. (thumbs u My thought was that this requirement would head off some of the "jackazzes" as our eloquent brother has stated, the only way to avoid EVERY issue is to not have the forum at all. And that would suck.
  11. Discussion (again) regarding minimum posting requirement for listing in Forum Only Selling threads?
  12. Only ever owned 1 MH I only have 2, but hope to have at least one more soon I only have zero. I've got 100 times what you got!
  13. I didn't see the original context of his post, I assumed it got moved because it didn't conform to this Forum's guidelines as posted. As his post exists now as long as the link to spreadsheet contains the information it needs(scans/prices or grades/prices) among the other Forum Only Selling Guidelines then it would appear it could be posted in this Forum. As long as links to outside lists is acceptable. My question is whether the linked list is part of the accessible inventory list from his site or a otherwise non-linked document(I can't open it and check). If not, then why wouldn't it be applicable in this Forum if it was only being offered here?
  14. I have some of those catalogs, I'll see if I have any from 2001(I know I have the Fall/2000) and try to find the auction/#.
  15. That thread got moved to the proper Forum, didn't it? Maybe there are no comments due to extended New Year's Day hangovers. More surprising is no comments on the ignoring of guideline #1: Books must be CGC or raw only.
  16. Kudos to djpinkpanther67 for moving to SD so we all have a place to stay for SDCC!!
  17. Gratuitously soliciting more scanner threads merits a punch in the 'nads, Doc. Consider yourself cyberpunched. Wow, pretty tough talk from a Paratroopin' wanna be Ohioan sidekick. In cyberspace, no one can hear you scream . . . Ball gags serve the same purpose... Now see, I need to get my mind INTO the gutter. Every time I see that .gif I thought it was a cat or mouse or something. Who knew it was part of Doc Watson's training video!
  18. Agreed. Where is my auction preview list? I'll post it here starting at 9pm EST!
  19. List more golden age instead of that drek. That's your name isn't it? Dang. Was wondering how long it was going to take for someone to notice. Got a little sidetracked with too much SA/BA buying the last couple of years(though it has been fun!). I'm trying to get back to my roots.
