  1. CBCS books are re-graded lower when they go through CGC all the time. I won't buy CBCS books based on grade anymore. I assume a 1-2 notch down grade. I had a captain Marvel 17 ( I believe) go from 9.4 to 8.5....unbelievable. We could have a whole other thread on that, and probably do.
  2. I have one bein graded bright now. I am hopeful form 7.,0 or better. Very bough book
  3. I paid the 21k fot tis one a short while ago. I just wasn't willing to pay more. I had a 3.0 about 10 years ago and bought for about 5k. I sold for about 9k and have regretted selling it ever since. So I bought back in at a "bargain".
  4. Incidentally I have an Archie 100 in CGC 3.0 and 4.5. If anybody has a 101 in like condition I'd swap.
  5. FC 1305 Mister Magoo. Another issue with poor paper and just impossible to find. I'd hoped this might come back at least 6.0 but it was not too be. Best copy I have found in over 15 years of looking.
  6. FC 237 Tillie the Toiler. You can have this on a watch list and not have it come up but once a year. I think Blissard sold a VG copy for nearly 200 a few months back. If anybody is looking I do have a spare raw copy in about VG-
  7. FC 202 Woody Woodpecker. This is among the family of FC books that used particularly poor paper. I'm guessing this is high census. RARELY seen in anything above VG.
  8. Theme today: Some of the toughest books to get you will see on this site. I just got a few back from CGC! I saw a CGC copy in 9.4 or 9.2 a few days after I discovered the missing number series. I let it go at about $190. I realized shortly thereafter I should have paid whatever it took. You rarely see above VG. I bought this at VG and had it pressed. I have another copy in the hopper that might be closer to 8.0-9.0. But that is a ways off. Missing Four Color #1339
  9. I've had a number of "missing Issues" sell as part of my Heritage sales and they have sold well over guide, I must admit I was surprised as well. The missing FC"s ( in particular higher grade) are tough as nails to find, for the most part.
  10. I hadn't noticed. I do have two copies that I have judged to be about Fine. One is a great pressing candidate but I wondered if it was worth it. I might just send it in now.
  11. I'm out of the office next week and so I need to wrap this up. Any offers need to be in by midnight tomorrow (October 11th). After that they will be unavailable. You will still have a crack at them on ComicLink, but we all know how that can go. What seemed expensive, suddenly seems cheap.
