I don't want to read through this thread since I just started watching this series.  I am only half way through Season 1.  My daughter called and told me I should watch it and I have to say, it is great.  I saw the original Westworld and Futureworld movies back in the 70s which at the time I thought was very good.  I did not watch Beyond Westworld but may go back watch the few episodes from that series.

But the HBO Series is really amazing.

Just temper your expectations for season 2.

Indeed. I hope that's not true. She is the most interesting character on the show for me.

In of the recent interviews, the show runners said only Delores Prime is dead. So it leaves the door open of ERW to be back. They said they don't want her to be gone. But who knows. She was dynamite this season.

Finally finished it after watching a downloaded last episode (my Netflix, for whatever reason, kept bugging on the last episode at around the 17m mark).

I was okay with many of the lesser changes, and even the ending, but I have to say...

they toned down the terror far, FAR too much. Netflix doesn't shy away from horror--Sabrina and Hill House show that--but this...it just had no threat to it. Dodge had no bite whatsoever, and the Lockes had like zero real stakes. I never felt worried for them, and I certainly never felt afraid of Dodge.

Not sure if that even needs a spoiler tag, but whatevs.

I agree. Dodge shows up, but you never really understood her motivation. Except that she wanted the keys.At least with Stranger Things the Upsidedown was threatening and created a sense of terror that allowed us to root for the kids.

I'm 2 episodes in to Witcher so far.

I'm not totally convinced by some of the acting so far but it;s early days.

Overall I'm intrigued by it. GOT it ain't but it's got potential.

It's beautifully shot and has bags of atmosphere.

You just have to go with it. The best part of the show that it doesn't take itself seriously. Yes, Cavill's wig so dang annoying to look at.
