I am on going to make a video doucmentary series. I have contacted DC comics and Marvel Comics and already got the go ahead to sit in with one of the artists and then after that go to the actual warehouse where the comic books are being made and printed and put together so this should be a GEM MINT 10 CGC OFF THE PRESS. I will be given a GEM MINT comic without CGC in this blind study.
I will sue CGC for stealing money and will document this in my new video series "Comics and You"
I will have video proof of the process from the time artists draws the panels , gets is colored, gets in publication , and the step by step process the book I will send to CGC in the manufacturing warehouse to moment it comes off it is GEM MINT. I will take this comic and grade it with CGC and then see how there are screwing us over. IF THIS IS NOT A 10 CGC is a con.
stay tuned....

I got all 3 in one auction and only thing worried about is the side tears
-ASM 361 has a actual cut on cover right below carnage knee at the bottom ( cgc strict about this cut on cover ? )and inside first 5 to 6 pages have strange cuts.
-ASM 362 has the same type of cuts as ASM 361 but not that severe but the bottom corners are all torn up, but the actual cover is fine is this a defect also ? Does this effect the grade it has literal tearing
-ASM 363 looks flawless to me except two werid cut like tear on top inside pages
Best guess on the grade ? assuming back is flawless and back spine no dings or ticks.

Just got in the mail my shipment of ASM 362 and ASM 363. I know there is a grading page but I like to get you guys opinion whare are all these issues have tears like this. Does a non gripper tear or tears of these 3 copies even exist ( bindery tears are on the spine this tear in on the inside corner pieces ) Some grading thread said if there is tears in book and outside is pristine you still can get a 9.8 or 9.6
Are these corner tears also printing defects ?
Here is ASM 362 and 363 to complete the carnage first apperance arc. Will be getting ASM 360 soon.

If you really want to sell these books, you should probably contact somebody like Chuck Rozanski.
I believe he buys all types of books, even ones like these which he would probably pay something like 25 cents a pound for if you are lucky enough to catch him in a good mood.
Well I did a grab bag for fun I will just read these and sell them away. Not all comic books are meant to be stored in a glass house.

Not sure why you had to post pictures of all 25 books to solve your mystery here.
Especially since the first book which you posted here so obviously answers your question.
The only question I can't figure out is why you was willing to accept only $8.99 to take those 25 crapola drek off the seller's hands. If it was me, I would have certainly asked for a lot more money than that as a disposal fee.
Ill give these book to you for 5.99 + 2.50 shipping.

At least you upgraded your Cage 1.
But it's still worthless (as evidenced by you getting a copy in a 25/$9 grab bag).
FUNNY YOU NOTICED THIS ONE IS BETTER THAN THE ONE I HAD LOL

Why all the trolling I just want to know how this affects grading

THIS IS THE 2ND SPIDER-MAN #361 I PURCHASED FROM EBAY THE LOT OF 361 362 363 for 199 I think I got ripped off the moment I opened the comic its all torn up at the bottom how much does this effect grading. Why has this happened? How am I supposed to know the inside of the comic is torn up if usually people never open the book and post inside pictures.
I just recieved a copy of spider-man #361 and the first 5 pages at the bottom are all cut up what the heck is this? Is this normal the seller said the book is NM NM-. How do these tears happen on 1st 5 pages only and also how much does CGC count against this? Should I return this to the seller ? Or is this normal for this type of tears at the bottom and this is a key issue. Seller said this is 9.4 NM or better.

All I can say is that for any collector who lists their collection into a open Registry for the entire world to see, including potential thieves:
be sure to follow it up with the second part of the equation and keep them all tucked safely away in a storage security locker which any common thief would be able to break into at their own leisure.
Well pretty sure the thief saw this as well and if he is smart( most likey he is else he wouldn't steal comics and be that stupid to resell this exact slabs). He is going unslab all the comics and definitely worth the money shipping and fees and resend to cgc for grading but slowly over time and sell them. If he had over 1.4 million worth of comics his secruity and storage was poor that something of this value got He should of passed up on 2 or 3 comics and invest in a better security system or camera.

This is the wrong forum to be asking this question. We've said it a half a dozen times now, explore the boards and post your questions/comments in the correct area. This is not the place to be asking for grades. This is not the place to be asking to buy books. If you want to buy books, use the link below and read the guidelines for use. The learning curve for navigating boards shouldn't be this steep.

ASM361 is a good book, for sure, but Carnage is a villain. Villain books get hot and then
As for your latest buy, yeah those are much nicer copies than the “record store” copy. I think you paid a little bit much (early in the thread I said to send me a list; I could’ve sold you that run for less).
Yes a little pricey but I am fine with that I think this will be my reader copy I bought another 362 in a bull auction and will compare the 2
Comics I am looking for
Silver surfer good reads and story arcs nm/nm-/nm+
Dr strange good reads and story arcs nm/nm-/nm+
X-men key issues
I want to complete the maximum carnage run so looking for nm + /nm

Then you're even worse at this than I thought (and that's saying something). I got just over $900 for my ASM omni 1. Ouch.
Yah i should of asked you but the way people are commenting and condensing tone to me ( not you ) its hard to trust purchasing comics from people in here.
Anyway I am looking for NM/ nm - copies of any key issues in X-men, Silver surfer, or runs of maximum carnage

Last question when grading comics how crucial are those minute corners bends or curves just from natural moving the comic in and out of a bag. I mean taking a book out of a bag no matter how careful you arethere is always that risk that a corner strikes very gently against the bag when you try to put in or corners come hit the side on the bag. I think its almost impossible to not have the corners effected, if you look at a corner even a regular sheet of printing paper even can get curved or bent by the slightest of touches. How much does CGC look at that I almost never seen a perfect corners on any ebay books I ever bought.

No man, that book is not a 5.0...lol. That looks to be at least a 9.4 judging by the pics but it is very hard to nail a grade on just pics. In hand is the only way to truly grade a book super accurately. As said above, the comic just has a miswrap/cut which is totally common on those ASM books. You can see CGC graded copies of 361 with a pretty bad miswrap in 9.8 on ebay.
Gradejunky so this miswrap is a common flaw? from a collector standpoint and people that want to get them slabbed how do you know if this issue in general had a miswrap or spine roll? How do you tell the difference if if its miswrap from publisher or from spine roll. Why do you say 9.4 what defects stand out to you that make it a 9.4 instead of 9.8 or 9.6 your right its impossible to grade from pictures. But surprised you said 9.4 instead of 9.2 or 9.6 you must of saw something at first glance.
Now I have no clue if the miswrap from other comics I buy is natural because how the comic was put together at the time of publication or its a bad book (sorry I am a newbie)
Yes I just googled some 9.8 cgc slabs of this issue #362 and the miswrap is very noticeable !

You do realize you cannot truly tell anything about a book unless you actually have it in hand. If you suspect that some manipulative work has been done to artificially maximize the potential of the book, the only way you can really tell is by having before and after scans of the book, which you obviously do not.
The seller was probably just trying to be considerate to you and did not want you to waste your valuable time looking for your copy of the Webster's Dictionary and decided to proactively squash the living daylights out of the book just for your benefit.
LOL, I don't think he squashed it if you look other copies on ebay or online this issue its all the exact same thing and even the cgc 9.8 slabs you can see that edge sticking out

No worries.
To tell you the truth, I have books which I cherry picked off the shelves of the LCS's from back in the mid to late 70's stored away like bricks of 5 or so in those old yellow poly bags. Surprisingly, they also still look as fresh and minty as the day I picked them off the shelves some 40+ years ago.
Can you take a quick look at the uploads of spider-man 362 is that normal? The book like great other than that staples being at werid angles and pages sticking out
-
Never mind I just looked up spider-man 362 on ebay and cgc slabs and it looks exactly the same that edge all sticking out like that ? Was this some issue when this comic was published? All CGC 9.8 slabs and people seling them looks exactly like this.

It’s just a poorly wrapped/miscut book. Not terribly uncommon during that time. As for the pebbling... The seller likely tried to press it themselves and had no idea what they were doing.
whats pebbling? I am a newbie to comics I think if your talking about the cover I took it with flash. What grade would you think this is? like less than 5.0?
To Slab or not to Slab?
