So this was a nice pack. The WalMart Spider-verse, The Maestro #4 1:10 variant, & Immortal X-men #3 Hellfire gala variant. Not bad for 9 bucks.

First Crack the Avengers 1,000,000. Sadly just 2 regular old books.

Sunday was spent driving to Wal Marts and listening to the Bears loose on the Radio. I was able to get my copies of what I am denoting as Gen 13 of these books. They are still selling for 9.00 which is a good price for new books. I have a copy to hold and a copy to open so I will also post what is inside when I have a chance, probably going to do 1 per day over the holiday. I am a little bummed, this batch of Walmart Exclusives all have dropped the upc as part of their redesign. Today was a good day. Stopped @ a Walmart in South Bend IN ST# 02680. I was able to find a Valkyrie: Jane Foster #1 Gen4 , Excalibur #1 Gen5, & Road to Empyre: The Kree / Skrull War #1 Gen6. All for the standard 9.00 for the 3 packs! At some point I will post a check list that I and others can use. I don't know why I like grabbing these, I just like seeing comics in non comic book store settings.

curious how many generations back will the 7 for 15 repacks have wrapped up with them. Has anyone split them open to see which 3 packs were put inside? Also what is the middle book this time? Hopping for something worth while.

Just got a great book ASM 96 National Diamond. Sadly it is only about a 4.0 due to some stain on the back. I am temped to try and find someone who can clean an press older books but there are so many people out there it is hard to know who can do it on older books with good results. Then part of me is just like dont worry about that and just preserve it in the condition it is in.

So I have started using filing cabinets to store my graded books. You are able to adjust the depth and make them fit nicley, but there is usually a lot of depth behind which is unused. I have started to fill this empty space with Comics, double bagged. One is a modern or silver bag and board, and then another in a magazine Bag and board. This allows the books to fit perfectly horizontally in the cabinet. My question is, normally when I stored books vertically I did then front to back to try and avoid spine rolls and the pitch which shows up in a box when all of the spines are on one side. With them being stored vertically spine down, there does not seem to be any need to do the front to back as they are all spine down. Should I be going spine down then spine up every other book, or am I over thinking things?

Judging by past performance I would check in July for the 7 for 10 packs. And now on with the show. Still nothing to write home about. I am hoping that they will at least once a year do the high ratio inserts, just to keep follks interested in the books. So like the Venom Lethal Protector #1 the Ghost Rider #1 is a totally new cover not just a WalMart Recolor. Not sure how this will play, but over all the other books inside are still uninspired. So this is interesting it appears that they did not update the sticker which they are putting on this latest wave of books. It is still the same sticker which they used for the last batch. This is going to make keeping track of these Generations a lot harder if they don't keep updating the stickers. So lets take a look at what we got. That is crazy that the Amazon books would have totally different images that the comic physically did. Good to know.

Oh all knowing CGC message board members please tell me someone knows the history of Conan 110 & 111. I was reviewing the collectors.com db and noticed that they had 2 different version of the Direct Cover for Conan 110 and 111. One with the Diamond, which I think is traditional for marvel direct books during this time, and then also the look which was used for newsstands. Please let me know what there is to know about these odd variants.

I see your point. I am personally interested most in the X-men/Uncanny X-men run. Which of the two would be rarer. You start with the newsstand run, and then I remember the MJ option which adds a new level of challenge to the collection. Then I also remember the whitman, and now I have to find a list of which of those were even made as whitman. I also love the conversations which have spawned and have learned about books I never knew existed as well as other things. So while my topic may have not been targeted enough at least I am learning new things.

I have to agree with the others Generation 11 of the Marvel 3 packs are very disappointing. Bellow was some which I broke down to crack open.
