This pickup is a Symbiote Spider-Man #1 WalMart Variant. This was the 1st print of the walmart exclusive with the UPC in the lower right corner. I have been doing too much ebay shopping. This one was a good price though just about face value + shipping. Only 39 different seal packs left on my need list. Also I am expecting in the next week or so the next Generation of books should start showing up if the release patter stays constant.

I was able to score a Strange Academy #1 WalMart Variant. This was the 1st print of the walmart exclusive with the red title. I broke down and got it on ebay. This one was a bit more pricey. The title itself seems to be selling pretty well so it was no shock that the cost was up there. This was the 1st one in good condition which I have seen within the past 6 months so I went for it. Only 40 different seal packs left on my need list.

Still 13.50 shipped seemed like a no brainier. It was part of a 3 lot 3 pack set which is why the cost was so reasonable. I am slowly closing in on all my known needed issues. Only 41 different seal packs left.

I was able to pick up a Spider-Verse #1 WalMart 3 Pack with a Gen07 label this past week. This puts me 1/2 way completed for Generation 07. I was able to get a decent price on ebay for it. Sadly I was unable to find it in the wild, or at a show. Hopefully the info which is collected bellow will be helpful to anyone else who is trying to put these runs together. On this batch I do not have any of the quantity which were released in each shipment to the stores. If anyone has that info I would be happy to update the post and give credit for the info. Gen 04 Confirmed 06-2019 Changing this from Gen 03 to Gen 04 due to info on which sticker came out 1st. It appears the actual 00 Generation was the Spider-Man Captain America Dr. Strange blue sticker out in 10/2016 or possibly latter. None of that Gen books were variants . This release had 4 titles with WalMart Exclusive recoloring of a generally released cover. There were 3 completely new covers which were never generally released. There was also Star Wars Galaxy Edge which does not look like it was a variant at all. The Copy I have of both Gen06b and Gen 04a proves that the UPC on the packaging is the same no matter which sticker was used, which adds credence to the fact that they were just using up old stickers.

How long will the CGC message board allow a thread bashing its service to stay open? I am grabbing my pop corn and stop watch. Though for the record, I also am never using their pressing service again. Same issue with stained books coming in my grading notes on books that did not have stains. Also I now learned to take a spoon ton of pictures before I ship stuff out. Still looking for a good reasonably priced presser in Chicagoland where I can drop off my books and get them shipped to CGC.

?Gen 06b 10/2020? It looks like Gen 07 came out in 11 or 12 of this month based off of the posts. This looks like another batch where they were using the Gen 06 sticker but new batches of books were having release dates which were clearly after the initial wave of the Gen 06 sticker came out which seems to have been April 2020. I was able to score a 1st print Venom #25 WalMart Variant with the White logo today. It was still in real nice condition as well. I am not sure if I am missing the 8th title which was released or if they just shipped more books which already were using that sticker. Either way I have been able to get one of each except for the ASM 45. ?Gen 06a 07/2020? No good posts outlining a new wave but judging by the number of title which used this sticker my best guess is that they put out 3 different wave during covid and just used the sticker which was on hand. Proposing 07/20 as this fits in with the title releases and is 3 months after the first wave of 6 came out. This wave was Empyre Heavy. 7? Hi I recently submitting an X-men Vol 1992 #1 storm cover with a Club Bo insert and just go it back from CGC. There is no mention of the insert on the label. I know that CGC does this as I have seen this on other copies of CGC graded issues. Was this an oversight? Can this be corrected? With the comic encapsulated, now there is no way to differentiate between this and a normal copy of which there were hundreds of thousands. I can add order number etc if that is appropriate.

If you end up opening them and have time please post the innards here. Everyone loves to see what people are getting. I hope CGC keeps these message boards up for historical records. 20 years from now people will hopefully see what gems these books are and if they are a trove of copies of books which may be highly sought after within the 3 packs.

They vary, I have put up some photos of what was the the packs I opened. I have not opened up any of the ASM facsimile but I can tell by the spines that they are not the same in each pack. This does seems to the most popular one in this batch, just based off of ebay sales I have seen.
