  1. Great stuff! In completing my 15-63 run, I can say that number 20 was *definitely* the toughest book to acquire.
  2. It depends how much the additional copy would cost.
  3. Jeremy's commissions are surprisingly very affordable. The last one I got from him was $350 IIRC. Plus he's a really nice guy to interact with. (Original pages are hard to come by in first place. The last sales I saw were in the $7500 range.)
  4. first things first- what kind of comics? what years/decades?
  5. Exhibit A in why modern comics are uncollectible.
  6. Well, let's just say I look quite fetching in a yellow jumpsuit.
  7. Needs little boxes to check off which ones you have, so you can collect them all.
  8. Here are some of my favorite comic book logos.... probably because I made them! https://sjiassociates.com/work/dc-comics-comic-books/
  9. All things being equal I try to avoid it, but will buy GA books with tape that does not detract from eye appeal. SA and later, no way.
  10. Very well said. I read basically the same thing on these boards 2 years ago, before most collectible comics went on to double. I read it on these boards 5 years ago. 10 years ago. 15 years ago. Back then AF15 was a $1,000 book in unrestored 2.0
  11. I remember about 10 years ago when there were so many copies of this other Marvel hero first appearance on eBay I couldn't imagine it ever going up....
  12. Had a few come in today in a succession of packages. *Mostly* golden age...
  13. You're still off by $500. The X-Men owner should be paying *you*.
  14. GPA says you are down $2,000 on this trade.
  15. I've always imagined this cover done as wallpaper in some seedy 1970s East Village bar.
  16. I assume the stories in World's Finest are as goofy as the covers, as any post 1945 Superman story would be. re: how to spend $1500, if you ask 100 people, you'll get 100 different answers. I just spent that on a Catman 30... That much could get you any number of WW2 Action comics or Superman books in VG to fine.
