That's how I took it as well. I wonder if e.s. has witness one of our epic derails? Agreed. I do like the comic, love the covers, love the art- but I am a bit befuddled by the ballistic craziness that people have over it? Granted, it's rare that I understand that kind of ZOMG!1!!!!thisBookIsAWEzeomeMustSpend$$$$$on it NOW! attitude that is prevalent these days. The only comic fever I "got" when I saw the book was the fervor over Cursed Pirate Girl, which was just like nothing ever seen before.

I don't find $200 for a 9.8 all that nuts, seeing as how raws are $40-50. I mean- it's ALL nuts, but that's comics these days...

I think most assume that the FCBD issue came out later, not prior to the "real" #1. Once people catch on that FCBD was first (and I would imagine has a lower print run) I think it would be the one to get?

So long as you are comfortable spending $200 or so a page, you can do pretty well. If you keep you eyes peeled on eBay, you can get some nice stuff in the $50 range even. I was buying Conan pages by artists that I liked for as little as $20 just a few years back.

Wasn't complete. It would have been 15-20 midgrade issues from 20-73. A complete run of Planets would be hard to give up...

that's a great argument as to why i stay away form OA. Idunno, I can always get another run of Planet comics. I'll likely never see that Cerebus page up for sale again. It's not like I was going to sell my WWII Actions!

Art is for the more bourgeois of collectors (or not for the more wretched collectors ) Hey, if a set of 1-6 goes for $100+, and a page goes for $175, I don't see how a fan could NOT want a page?

Is that considered pressing? It all depends on how they grade afterwards......especially if you get a bump! Hope I won't have to get a doctor to take a look at that...
