  1. yes, you are correct on all counts. In the future, people living outside of China will breathe only explosive rocket pack fuel, making the clean air near the Great Wall of China lethal to them.
  2. Captain Marvel's a petrophile!?! quick! Hide all your... rocks!!! welcome to the boards, by the way.
  3. YES. That's why she's taking her revenge by shooting the giant robot directly in the junk. With a 17th-century blunderbuss. Even though it's, like, WAY in the future. But she better watch out, cause the robot is about to hit her back with that section of suspension bridge in his hand. It's almost like you don't have to read the comic, since that the cover says it all. Which is good, cause, y'know, it's encased in plastic.
  4. I will be picking this up tomorrow. My giant robot is so super exicted he cannot contain himself. Insert squishy sound effect here.
  5. awesome colors on that book. Not only do Planets have some of the best covers of that era, they are also highly readable, with some excellent interior artwork. I particularly like the Futura stories.
  6. i can't get over how new these books look. Am I correct in that the entire wall with stacks of books behind the table books is similar stuff? are therer just complete runs of -everything- in that room?
  7. I can't decide if this thread makes me want to collect more GA comics... or just give up and quit altogether. I have all my 40 or so low grade beaters carefully stored in double-bagged mylars, acid free boxes, dehumidified room. And here you are with a lottery winning-sized collection, books in stacks, and unbagged even! BZ- I'm curious how you acquired all these- were many off the newstand? I know a bunch were bought as a collection, but were all of them?
  8. I.... I....I.... I mean I.... ummm... uh. I just can't, uh....... holy *spoon*, dude.
  9. I thought once I could afford 8 pages of Action Comics #1. Then someone posted them for sale on eBay, and brought me back to reality.
  10. 10% of that back cover is about all I could afford.
  11. Thanks! I actually just noticed yours up top, VERY nice- especially for the grade.
  12. I offered him double what you paid but Jon, being the upstanding gentleman he is, demanded triple cost before he would screw you like that.
  13. Thanks! White / off white pages to boot. by the way, I have to say I was tempted to steal your CCS book when I saw it come in the mail to Jon...!
  14. Congrats Dino!! be careful with that book around Billy Parker, he likes printing defects and i need an action! i'll take it; love the error. Wow the GA boards just keep getting better and better. Incredible books guys. spectacular pickup!
  15. you guys are all on some kind of spree. great pickups!
  16. awesome thread- this is what the hobby is about. Thanks Bangzoom!
  17. Great book! Now you just need an Action 1 to keep it company
  18. no need to hate to say it! I say it all the time.
  19. well hey, I couldn't have afforded it if not for that bullet!
