  1. I think this is the last of my recent JSC buying spree. This one is thanks to @StingerMcK.
  2. I've pretty much resigned myself to only collecting the early stuff in low grades. My copy of 6 is maybe a 1.5, but to me it's better than not owning one at all. There's no way I could justify spending $10k on a comic. Let me rephrase that, there's no way I could justify spending $10k on a comic to my wife.
  3. Got these recently and I'm not an X-Men collector, so I'm offering them up. They're still sealed with the JSC tamper proof sticker with the CoA inside, as seen in the scans below. They look like they could be 9.8s but I don't want to break the seal and examine them, so I can't guarantee a grade. I'd rather sell them as a pair, so for now I don't want offers on them individually. I'm asking $60 for them both, shipping included. Terms: I hate PayPal. I have a square account and can accept credit cards through that. Alternatively I'll accept a check or money order. Shipping via UPS only, USA only. If UPS hasn't picked up at my office I'll ship the same day I receive payment, otherwise it will be the next day. No Hall of Shame or Probation List No returns
  4. Ah okay that makes sense - I filled out the online submission form before I dropped it off at the con.
  5. Just purchased some books from Brantley. Safely packaged and arrived quickly. It went so well I bought another book the day after I got the first set! 😊
  6. My convention sub never said received, although I have seen others posts that say dealer accounts still see the received status.
  7. If anyone wants to see the full one, it is very similar to this one: https://images.halloweencostumes.com/infographics/Spider-Man-Infographic.jpg
  8. HBO submits GoT finale, "The Iron Throne", for Best Writing at Emmys 2019: https://www.tvguide.com/news/hbo-game-of-thrones-emmys-submissions/
  9. I've only emailed them one time, but they promptly refunded me for a damaged book.
  10. Does anyone think this is a good idea? I mean, the fans aren't upset at any of the actors, but if D&D are there it could get ugly...
  11. I scored the entire Into the Spider-Verse run for $120. They came in yesterday and they were all minty fresh. Pretty sure #2 will come back as a 9.8 after a press (just has a couple of tiny non-color breaking spine stresses), so I am very happy. 😊
  12. No worries. 😊 That issue had a ton of variants (49 I think), but the issue you posted is the retail cover.
  13. Well sure, you can make your own bag for carrying comics too, but most people are willing to pay more for higher quality. The bag I'm using is the Ogio Axle bag that runs $100. An extra $20 for features specific to carrying books at cons seems like a pretty reasonable amount if it's going to get used it enough.
  14. I literally posted where to buy the backpacks from.
  15. The first five are the only frames with any Hulk movement at all.
  16. Okay, let's pick some nits: Arm is pulled back, not "swept" to the side. Contact point spans through the bottom of the text, and the top of Thor's head goes above the bottom of the text. It may not be square in the middle of his head, but the punch definitely contacts Thor's head. Also it's a gif and only 10 frames, so it's not going to feel the most fluid.
  17. I don't really understand why people say it is overpriced. Unless you're buying a kids backpack, you're going to be spending at least $100 for a decent backpack these days. If you check out the Wirecutter's favorite laptop backpacks, the cheapest in the entire recommended list is $80, and a few are pushing $200. For something so specialized I feel like this is a pretty good price. If I was looking to replace the bag I use now I would definitely consider it.
  18. I honestly have no idea which issue this is. The "mask off" #1 that comes to mind is Volume 3, but I don't see anything about a "yellow" variant. It would be easier to give you an idea of the value if you can explain specifically which issue it is.
  19. Yeah I get it. I would say you use the TAT at the time the submission goes to scheduling, but even then it's just an estimate. There's also no guarantee that the TAT is updated promptly.
  20. I've given up on all 24x36 prints. They're just too big and I don't have enough wall space. 18x24 is so much more common in the concert poster world, and it is 99% of what I own. Having to store or display 24x36 prints becomes a pain.
  21. You should use the estimate based on when your books have been received and scheduled into the system. Which is why I originally said "all the books that get there between your form submission and your package arriving will affect the turn around times as well."
