  1. Definitely contact your credit card and get your money back. I'm really not sure how they're even in business still, considering how many chargebacks they must get from credit card companies. I tried getting their account suspended with Stripe (their payment processor), but unfortunately I was not successful.
  2. I've got a few books that I'll only have for sale this weekend - they're heading out for consignment on Tuesday if they don't sell. Prices are listed alongside the books below, and the price includes shipping via UPS. Feel free to PM me offers, but a "take it" in the thread trumps PMs. If you would rather ship another way I can accommodate but will charge the actual shipping amount you select. Payment via PayPal is preferred, and no returns on slabs. None of these were pressed. Okay onto the goods: Venom 26 Inhyuk Lee Convention Variant $350 The white dot on the forehead was on the scanner bed, not the book itself. I can take another scan/photo if needed. Strange Academy 1 Peach Momoko Comic Mint Variant $300 Strange Academy 1 Skottie Young Variant $250 Usagi Yojimbo 10 Peach Momoko SDCC Variant $500 Sleeping Beauties 1 Peach Momoko SDCC Variant $250
  3. I really like the J. Scott Campbell cover. Feels like a return to some of his older work:
  4. Only if there actually are graders notes. I've had a 9.2 and a 9.4 come back with no notes before. Biggest difference I had come back was a book I thought was a 9.4 or even a 9.6 come back as an 8.5. Turns out I sent in the wrong copy of the book, and the NM one was still in the bag in my short box. Oh well.
  5. I may have to give up on my quest to own every cover of the series. As it gets more popular there are bound to be more store variants, which is something the first 10 issues haven't really had outside of issue 1. I'll definitely be picking up the Peach cover, though - incredible work!
  6. This may be the most Comic Book Guy argument I've seen around here. Also the answer is yes, subsequent printings still contain the first appearance of a character in that story. It's just not the first time that story has been printed.
  7. Probably when they throw them in the $1 bin in a couple of days. 😂
  8. Modern Fast Track, 5 books, 1 submission (but two invoices since one is a character label): Delivered 8/13 Received 8/18 Scheduled for Grading 8/19
  9. This one isn't bad because of the amount of rings, but the placement just sucks:
  10. I've got a submission that was delivered on 8/13 and just showed up as received today. It is a fast track and the box was marked as such.
  11. They've done this before (I own the Venom 25 Maer Ultimate) and they really do destroy the amount printed outside of the sold amount. The reason they overprint is to make sure all copies they sell are 9.8. The complimentary copies that they distribute are given to people like the artist, and I would suspect there are less than 20 of them in total.
  12. I've got a modern fast track submission that was just delivered yesterday, waiting for it to be received.
  13. CGC won't certify that. You'd get a qualified label and it would say "name written in marker on cover." Only Voldy certifies signatures that aren't witnessed.
  14. Last panel of FCBD: This muddies the waters for me. The book specifically says it comes before Venom 26.
  15. I've bought a few things from a few different members before. I haven't done much selling yet but I may in the future. Just wanted to get my kudos thread started.
  16. I just bought a slab from Jason - everything was smooth, shipping was fast and it was very well packaged. Would not hesitate to buy from again!
  17. This is incorrect. The USPS does not operate at a loss at all. In fact every rate that they have is audited by the office of the inspector general and the PRC to make sure the rate is profitable. The only reason they are in debt is because of a 2006 law (the PAEA) that requires the USPS to pre-fund pensions through at least 2056, requiring billions in payments every year for a retirement fund that no other entity, public or private, is currently required to do. It's a ridiculous law that was enacted for the sole reason to make the USPS fail. If you were required to pay 50 years of retirement benefits in advance, you might also want to limit how many employees are eligible for retirement.
  18. The current run has been very good. It's one of my favorite books right now.
  19. Can't believe the SDCC Usagi Yojimbos are selling for $400+ on eBay. Makes me wonder if I should send mine in to be slabbed or just try and move it right away.
  20. If this was the first time it happened I would agree. But these books were graded this month and the issue has been going on since character labels were introduced. Brittany's post about the problem was from last year - surely they could change their system if they wanted to but so far they haven't.
  21. All good! I'd consider paying for the graders notes - it's possible you could contact CGC and get them to correct the error if it really did get the qualified label when it should have the universal label.
  22. That would only cause the grade drop if it was a blue label. The reason it has a green qualified label is supposed to be to ignore that writing and grade it as if it weren't there.
  23. If you mean #46 Comic Mint still has the trade dress available. If you meant 47 I'm in the same boat as you in missing out because I haven't seen anything about it. 😕
  24. Most discussions I saw about it had people pretty unimpressed with the cover. I definitely don't understand the appeal of a virgin variant - it just seems wrong without the trade dress.
