So, I constantly troll the ebay uk site looking for these oddities, along with all the Marvel Weekly UK titles that you can get in bulk if you are lucky. Usually, the biggest deterrent is the outrageous shipping costs. It pulled up these Dracula New English Library Editions that are kind of scarce (esp. with the poster included). So I went to check what I was going to get hit with on the shipping and realized these were actually shipping from the US, for under $7.

I had been searching for this book for a few years and had it on my Ebay Saved Searches list. One came up in the last year and I tried to win it cheap, that didn't work. Finally another copy hit ebay and I grabbed it. Really cool Wrightson, Kaluta, Jeff Jones and Bruce Jones early fanzine. I actually see the portfolio for sale more regularly than the fanzine.

This isn't quite right because there was no Warlock prior to MP #1, so it's just "the first appearance of Him". MP #1 has the first appearance of Him as Adam Warlock.
It's been awhile since I read it, but I think he was given the name Warlock by the High Evolutionary in MP#1, it wasn't until MP#2 that his human friends gave him the first name of Adam.

I've been putting together a set of the 1975 Marvel Slurpee Cups over the last year, not really paying much attention to them as I accumulated them. I pulled them out today to see what I had and make a list and it appears that each cup was done in 2 sizes. Anybody else collect or have knowledge about these things? Were the cup sizes regional, or just whatever was on hand. Are there actually 2 complete sets (1 in each size) of all the characters? I've got many more of the tall, more narrow cup, are the shorter, wider cups much more difficult to find?
Share your knowledge, I'm a newbie to these and now realize I may have to put together 2 sets instead of 1 (and that doesn't even include the full wrap 1976 set).

The Micronauts issues inked by Armando Gil were some of my favourite stuff by Broderick, but I lost interest once Danny Bulanadi replaced Gil. I agree that Rodin Rodriguez was a poor fit on Fury of Firestorm.
Yeah, I agree, the Bulanadi stuff was what I was thinking of. Loved Gil on the Kazar stuff also.

About 3 years ago. The story itself was eh, while the artwork was a gentleman’s C. It was some of earlier work, however, but he looks like he’s improved to a B.
Broderick's early work was his best imo. I first noticed him in Atlas Comics, where he did a beautiful back up featuring The Dark Avenger, I think it may have been inked by Terry Austin. He then did a few inside cover illos in the Marvel B & W Magazine line and some work on Iron Fist. Really nice stuff. I thought the Micronauts and Firestorm stuff suffered from poor inker matches.

Nakatomi shills...please identify yourselves ( )
I apologize in advance for being a Nakatomi shill, but they recently did a kickstarter for a jigsaw puzzle (20x30) featuring the art to the "i'll be with you on your wedding night" print by Wrightson. They have a limited supply left on there website if any of you are jigsaw puzzle and Wrightson Collectors it's pretty sharp looking. Considering all the line work going on, I bet it's a person_without_enough_empathy to put together.

Phantasmagoria #1 & #4, Kenneth Smith's self published zine. Back in the early 1970s I bought a copy of #4 at the Dallas Comic Con, where Smith was set up, I think I was 12, but Mom threw it away because of the abundance of nudity (like every picture). Picked it up on ebay close to 50 years later.
Got to admit, it's not quite the treasure trove of quality nudity that my 12 year old eyes remembered.
