This all seems silly to me, and a bit of a storm in a tea cup.
I'm not going to comment on personal remarks and escalation back and forth but I can make two observations. I have no dog in the fight.
1. I can't honestly see anything initially which would have caused offence from seller to buyer.
2. As a seller you are always grateful when people buy your books, or at least I am, but even a large initial purchase does not entitle a previous buyer to large scale discount in perpertuity going forward.
Agree with all of the above. After reading the initial post I really thought that Bio Rupp was going to come out looking very poorly in this. After reading the pm's there was nothing there that would have bothered me. That said, if I had a customer that was spending that type of cash on a somewhat regular basis, I'd certainly try to keep him happy.
I do understand the frustration of a buyer that hits the "take it" early in a thread for a $5 book, then realizes a few days later that there is nothing else that interests him and he is stuck paying $15 in shipping.

Picked this up on ebay this week. Limited to 500 sets, really nice high end Poker Set of the Adam Hughes DC Good Girl Art. Don't play much poker anymore but I'm a sucker for the Hughes artwork.

Thanks people!
I'll have to reread the story but I believe it mentioned there was an advertisement published for Satana in one of the Marvel Black and White Mags that predated the Warren appearances. I know it implied that Stan Lee spoke with Warren and the Warren character never returned.

Was reading in an old RBBC about a possible lawsuit between Marvel and Warren when they introduced similar "Satana" characters the same month. The story implied that a lawsuit was not needed after the 2 companies spoke and came to an agreement, which I assume was that Warren would shelf their version.
The Warren version supposedly appeared in an issue of Vampirella. Anyone know what specific issue number it was?

I don't ship international but I do buy international. Any time I find a good bulk lot of the old UK Marvel reprints from the UK I will try to win it. I'm always surprised how cheap the ebay global shipping program is as opposed to other options. I just had a 250 book lot of Mighty World of Marvels, shipped from the UK to Texas for $23. I had always heard how expensive it is, but on multiple occasions it has been much cheaper than other options. It's to the point now that when I'm buying bulk lots I ask if they can send it through the global shipping program.
After speaking on how much I liked the Global Shipping Program, this is how my package arrived from the UK!!! Not sure if it's the seller or ebay or my post office but someone has some explaining to do.

This was also my favourite DC period... I was 10 or 11 and spent weeks looking for books like Demand Classics.
Last year, TwoMorrows published a book called Comic Book Implosion: An Oral History of DC Comics Circa 1978 which is well worth a look if this period fascinates you like it does me.
Thanks for mentioning the twomorrows book! Had no idea they had written on this topic. The preview section included on the site was great reading, have a copy on the way to the house now.

Cover and story/art were finished for the Deadman story in Showcase 105, along with cover and story/art for the Ditko Creeper story in Showcase 106. Both stories were published in the in-house DC Cancelled Comics Cavalcade that a DC editor put together after the DC Implosion. I enjoyed this period also and was shocked when the books were cancelled.

Back, with more fun from the UK!
I recently picked up a bulk lot of the Mighty World of Marvel Weeklies and found this classic Steranko cover. This cover was used for Hulk Annual #1 but they had Marie Severin redraw the Hulks head because Steranko's wasn't acceptable. Here we get the cover as Steranko intended. Those zany UK guys removed the bottom lettering "Battles the Inhumans" and replaced with "Battles the INHERITOR" so they could run the cover with the Hulk #149 story.
It's still worth it just to see the Steranko artwork as intended.

That 1st release is doing great on ebay. The first few listed went in the $300 range and the last one sold for $500.
Thanks again for bringing it to the boards attention.

It was bizarre at the time, but Marvel was getting ready to feature the Guardians in a multi-part adventure in the Defenders book. Stan probably felt it was a good time to throw out the 1st appearance when he had a deadline problem.
