  1. Makes sense to me; Torpedo Taylor (the Navy's answer to Combat Kelly/Casey/Krinkle et. al., who apparently spends at least one panel in every story pushing buttons and exclaiming "Fire one! Fire two!!! ) depicted on the cover is drawn on the inside by Heck. Heck sure gets a bum rap. He's a fine artist and storyteller, but I think most folks just don't like his sketchy, loose style. But back to the cover; I don't even collect this series, I just stumbled across the cover and had to pick it up.
  2. Thanks. It's one of my favorite of the giant monster covers. Here's my original ST 91.
  3. Okay, time to break away from the HG parade for a moment. Here's a few recent pickups. I finally got a nice (for me) TTA 9, I've been waiting for a long time. Also upgraded my beater ST 91, one of the 1st back issues I ever got.
  4. Can I sneak this post-code Atom Age by? And a few more non-Everetts:
  5. Didn't there used to be an Atom Age thread? Just got a few of these; love this Everett cover
  6. Bubbagump bought one of my VCC books and PM'd and paid right away. Solid, Jackson! (thumbs u
  7. I just had my first transaction with Bob and it was first rate! (thumbs u
  8. I'm still wondering what an OPP is. Oh, you're not down with it? Yeah, you know CD, he's down with OPP.
  9. Here's a few more old scans I found during lunch. I'm sure somebody's posted one of these before, but not recently I think:
  10. Great news! (thumbs u Let it be a lesson to all - don't mess with the CGC Board Membership.
  11. Too bad all the good threads were permanently deleted by CGC, you'd get a real education then. You don't know the half of it! OK, so my shill sense is usually half-way decent. But I'm lost with you. PM me and let me know who you are. (thumbs u Stu, wanker That's what I was thinking. But then something said 'no'. Of the two great brains, on this issue I side with Nick. Really....try reading the guy's post about ComicLink and Paypal person option that he just posted. That's typical Stu. Yeah, it was...and it might well be. But...there's a few posts that aren't typical Stu. Why, was I helpful or funny? You'd be helpful to me and funny to someone else to settle a score. Send me a PM to confirm who you aren't or are. Something only I might know.

  13. I have the same problem. My first exposure was in Mad, and the illustration work he did for ads, magazines, posters, etc. When I read his EC stories, I struggle to take them seriously.
