  1. He was not; I think the only show he sets up at is Boston. His son set up several times in Woburn but not always and that show is now defunct.
  2. It's a bit of a hike for me. How is that show? Worth making a trip up from CT? The show was great for me, I walked out with way more than I expected but I think it depends what you’re looking for. I also wound up buying from the usual local dealers, so I’ll bet several at least set up at the CT shows, too. I’m not sure how the dealers did, I got the impression it was on the slow side. Surprisingly, I saw a fair amount of big books there, Hulks #1-5, FF #1, DD #1, other SA keys, etc. I posted some of the haul in the Silver forum, but also put everything I scanned into this week in your collection.
  3. And a few more: I've been holding off on X-Men until I finish my other runs, but this was priced right: I'll sneak an Atom Age Western in:
  4. I made out quite well at the show in NH last weekend. Here's some of my buys. Waiting until I found for these Tales of Suspense in my range paid off.
  5. Picked these up at the NH show last weekend. Needed an upgrade to my OO Hulk Annual #5, though I think I'd still like a higher grade copy.
  6. Here's a couple recent pickups from a NH show:
  7. Ebay drank my milkshake. Does Blowie ever get tired of this?
  8. The spine is weak, but this Mystic will live happily in my short box.
  9. It's in as good a location as can be (excepting the back cover); it almost looks like a ray gun blast in the Skrull's hand.
  10. Wow, what a great 3.0! Congrats! I still need to score of of those.
  11. Seriously, Wow! Who the F@ck is paying that sort of money for that book? My money is on Boston Corbett.
  12. Great pick-up! I really like the Uncanny Tales 56, especially the lower tier. It's simple but it works for me! Yeah! I love that panel, a great layout that's very evocative. And it reminds me of Ditko, too.
  13. Cross posting for these, but this is the best place. Picked these up recently at the Boston Con.
  14. It doesn't seem to be working at the moment, I get the same result.
  15. I tried to make one a while back. AA, AAF 1-14 JIM 50-82 ST 66-99 SW 1-5 TOS 1-38 TTA 1-34 WOF 15-19 Some board members had different opinions. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6715170&fpart=502 Linky no worky. But I'd agree with that list. I sort of think of SW and WOF 15-19 as pre-pre-heros but they fit the bill.
  16. Yeah, but didn't you just switch from a dial-up modem last year? I don't have a smart phone either. Nor do I want one.
  17. I’ve bought a variety of books over the years from Steve and would happily do so again, top notch all the way! And he recently bought one from me and paid without delay. Sharkey is a stand-up seller and buyer!
  18. That makes sense then. Where do you think the resto is? I assume there's no CT bleed though. Worst case scenario it will be 1 of only 3 on the census!
