  1. I put in a few decent bids but was outbid in the last seconds. Nothing went cheap enough for me and in some instances I didn't even bother bidding, especially since the paper quality on many looked iffy..
  2. Thread will go live around 9pm EST You sure you'll be able to stay awake that long?
  3. What this discussion has proven to me is that as time goes on the Boards are less and less enjoyable as we have more and more fussing.
  4. Yeah, I know. I'm hoping that a few might slip by in the frenzy.
  5. It's going to be like a steel cage match between all the Atlas fans here.
  6. Very impressive. Wish this collection had been around when I was putting my runs together. Might've saved me a lot of time. I am always amazed at the volume of good stuff that Pete comes up with. A big dealer that somehow flies under the radar... In the last few months, his eBay auctions have gone from worth checking out, to ballistic. There have been some great books listed over the last month or so, and now there's this 600 issue lot of Atlases. It's all been down to hard graft and patience - eventually the great books turn up. I just wish he'd opt out of the damn GSP... Don't you have someone in the States wins could be shipped to who could then send them along to you directly?
  7. Well, as long as you’re open to feedback… I think your thread looks and reads fine. One item per post is the way to go. Including multiple books in a single post makes it harder to scroll through, find and/or buy a particular book. I’ll even skip threads laid out like that. I would suggest larger scans, though. Get a free image hosting account on Photoshop or Imgur and use that as your source. Attachments are too limited in size to be useful.
  8. I have a few tattoos. I would never, ever consider getting a comic-related tattoo, not my bag. However, that one gets the Pontoon Seal of Approval.
  9. Out of that 102 feedback, only 45 are as a seller.
  10. I'm sure there's a labyrinthian laundry list of reasons why it wasn't.
  11. Maybe CopperAgeKids has some helpful tips on that topic. He's busy with some over in the Grading and Resto Issues Forum at the moment.
  12. Here’s one for the list: mjp5840 Just joined on 10/9, but already has made 3 bid retractions, including a big one on one of my auctions. He kept nipping away at the high bid and remained the underbidder until placing a sky-high bid, exposing the top bid before retracting his own.
  13. Lotsa threads on the boards about those guys, known scammers IIRC.
  14. Wow, that's nice of her. Was it her husband's or son's collection? Husbands collection. She is still married to him and I am trading hockey cards for comic books. The collection starts at #95. She was going to throw them out as the LCS offered her next to nothing. Word of mouth brought her my way via a friend. I'm sorry but this story sounds like BS, throw them out? I'm sorry you feel that way, but you are wrong! Are you married? Have you ever tried to sell to a LCS? Have a nice day! Isn't the poster questioning the "throw them out" part? An unscrupulous LCS may not offer much, for sure. What sounds odd is that rather than take a small sum from the LCS, she was going to throw them out and get nothing in return. Wouldn't some money be better than one?
  15. Those are nice, nice copies and are probably the toughest 3 of the pre-hero JIMs.
