  1. Looks like a one-man operation out of Louisiana: https://goldengrading.com/contact-us/ These are all from the same seller. Who's coincidentally in Louisiana: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw="golden+grading"+comic&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw="golden+grading"&_osacat=0 Grades cards, too.
  2. Flo Steinberg? P. Craig Russell? Something is amiss with that story, she left Marvel years before he worked there.
  3. Mikes Amazing World of Comics Newstand feature may be quite useful for this endeavor: http://www.mikesamazingworld.com/mikes/features/newsstand.php?publisher=marvel&type=calendar&month=12&year=1966&sort=alpha
  4. I do, though not because I was looking for the highest top dollar but rather due to of my habitual inability to list hot books in a timely manner.
  5. Why Collectors Comics? I've never heard of them or their auctions.
  6. I don't follows Tecs enough to be able to gauge and answer the question, but it's always seemed to me that DTA prices their books aggressively. That said, I'd follow Robot Man's advice!
  7. I think it's rather cool that the series was so good they could get away with it. I don't think there are any comparable DCs in the '60s at least.
  8. Just realized this is another cover without the team except for the colophon.
  9. I like my #73 okay except for that damn color rub by the spine.
  10. Heritage tags various collections which are in their weekly auctions but do not provide any info about them, unlike the big ticket featured signature auctions that have catalogues. I find it slightly irksome that they'll name a collection but not bother with any provenance, even if it's as simple as an average collector who bought books secondhand. I doubt this collection has anything to do with Gil Kane since he's been dead for decades and if the books were his I'm sure they'd go out of their way to mention that fact to drum up interest.
  11. I assume you guys saw the clip that littledoom was referring to at 16:48. It's a Marshall Rogers Batman sketch a lady picked up at an estate sale for $20.
  12. Yes, and some of the listings noted tanning and others didn't. I saw enough listings that mentioned it to make me skittish.
  13. And that's John Byrne paying homage to Don Martin, not Hembeck.
  14. And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend, be sure to tell her SATAN, SATAN, SATAN!!!
  15. Well, son, a funny thing about regret is that it's better to regret something you have done, than to regret something you haven't done.
