As usual, drop the :takeit: if you'd like the mags in the thread or via PM. In the event more than one person would like them, the first :takeit: by timestamp gets it regardless whether via PM or in the thread. If you're on any lists, forget about it. Payment is expected within 5 days of invoice, payment accepted via PayPal. And of course, if you're not happy, return them for your money back.

    150 orders in 4 hours?

That's like under 90 seconds an order. No way. Print a label, package the comic (assuming you have all the comics lined up in order), seal your gemini or whatever.... It takes a few minutes, probably more like 3-5 minutes a package even if you are heavily caffeinated and in a trance, and that's with everything already perfectly prepped up to do this, which should also be factored into your time.

I couldn't process that fast either, and I think I'm pretty organized.

lol That's how my sales threads end up.  Sometimes I start off with a big book, then I start adding books that are close at hand and I end up with this random batch of books in no particular order.

That's why I never buy your books!

    :baiting:

J/K. Your threads aren't 12+ page giants and I always look, I just haven't come across anything I need.

    :foryou:

Not that this applies to your X-Men listing, but: I also tried to post books in random order (no alphabetical) on the first day to just mix it up. It was not only confusing for the Boardies, it was way more time consuming on my end for being able to sort through and find books that people bought and get them in their pile. Would not recommend that at all.

I'll second this. As a buyer, rando listed sales threads are a *huge* turnoff for me, especially if they're multiple pages long. I don't want to scroll through a dozen pages looking for a single book I saw and then went past. And if it's a multi-day thread, I don't want to be constantly checking if I'm only interested in an end-of-the alphabet title (or particular issue number) that's going to be listed.

I'm flying in from Seattle. Very excited for this show... might be my only comic-con trek this year.

Bear in mind that the Boston Marathon is happening on the Monday after the show.

Hotels in Boston are $$$ that weekend and traffic will be tricky.

Well, the show is in Concord NH, about 70 miles away from Boston. If I was flying, I'd try to get a flight to a NH airport, as well as a hotel in NH.

$50 is totally not worth it. all you get is a bag with a bunch of worthless trinkets and advertisements, and a bunch of sleepy dealers who aren’t close to being fully set up. Two years in a row there were two or three dealers who weren’t set up until after the general admission people came in. Save the $$ for comics

Paying extra for an hour of elbow room without the crowds is totally worth it to me. However, when the charge for early admission moves from $30 to $50, more than 3x the cost of the regular $15 admission then it no longer becomes worth it to me.

It almost sounds like we've been at different shows. I always opt for the early admission and have never come across any sleepy dealers who aren't set up. Load-in happens on Friday. Maybe I just go to different tables.

The 2023 "swag bag" was a complete joke, just utter useless drek. They weren't anything to write home about in years past but at least came with a few things I sold to amortize the cost of the ticket.

I had the T-Rex kit as a kid.  Bought it from the toy store in Osgood, IN.  They were clearing the kits out so got it dirt cheap.  I loved the color and glow in the dark teeth.

Those long box monster kits got issued initially with the -98 notation so the forgotten prisoner is a 422-98.  My understanding is the -98 was for $0.98 price.  Later they got changed to -100 for a $1.00 price.  I included the two box types for the Dracula kit.  You can see the 424-100 versus 424-98.  People with severe ADHD have to have both in their collection.

Methinks you mean people with severe OCD have to have both.
