  3. Here's another questionable UK seller: https://www.ebay.com/str/openanduseb4labels
  4. Yup. A lot of hijacked accounts lately. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to Theo, his most recent feedback is over a year old and the listing descriptions forego his usual style. Here's another account that looks boosted: https://www.ebay.com/str/openanduseb4labels
  5. As a collector on a budget, many of my books from this era are lower grade. These aren't my best five, but they've got to be among my favorites for various reasons. These are more Atomic Age, and all probably qualify for October's cheap faves thread, but as somebody said, whatever. Young Love #2, my first GA Kirby book, bought for a few bucks on ebay 20-odd years ago, give or take. I have an LCS near my job, which is my favorite and one in the town where I live. The owner of my favorite one is always turning interesting stuff up, my local one not so much. So when walked down the street and saw Cap #78 on the wall I scooped it up immediately. They also had an Astonishing #30 for $125 that night but it had CT; I regret not taking that one at the same time despite the CT. The condition of this Yellow Claw #4 is nothing to write home about and I find the cover kind of meh, but the Kirby/Severin interior blows me away. I love this series and this is my favorite issue. I picked up almost a short box full of PCH and pre-hero Marvels years ago and set about selling my dupes and issues I could live without to amortize my expenditure. This one didn't sell. I was glad then and even more glad now. Here's a reasonably nice one from that same box, but this one was a keeper as soon as it was in my hands.
  6. Same thing happened to namisgr with one of his off the rack books. If finding old threads wasn't so impossible now I'd include a link.
  7. Board member @domuhnator works for Goldin. He deals with comics, but maybe he'd know if Goldin would take it on.
  8. Once in a while, this guy makes sense. What lizards2 says is spot on. I would also recommend printing your postage yourself. Whether through ebay or PayPal it's always cheaper and you don't need to stand in line unless you're trying to maintain ebay TopRated status and need the scan to show it's in the hands of the P.O.
  9. It's also bleeding through, which make me think it must be something other than crayon.
  10. I'd normalize the shipping charges, might put some folks off. Looks like a nice charity.
  11. 2.0, maybe a 2.5? Looks like it's had some water damage. Are the staples a tad rusty?
  12. I'm pretty proud of our Pontoon Palace pizza. I make the sauce, Mrs. P. handles the dough and cooking. Just had one last night as a matter of fact.
  13. Thanks for the followup! Do you wish you'd kept the book now? Did you sell and get another copy?
  14. Q: Why does CGC take almost a year to press and grade 3 modern books while I paid for fast track? A: Because they can. A snarky answer, but it has a ring of truth methinks.
  15. If it's all over now, why can't we know who the seller was?
  16. Let's see... I wonder if anybody in an upper-management and grading position at that other company happens to like the Grateful Dead?
  17. Peter Parker 17 - 7.5 CROW $5 Iron Man 131 - 7.0 OW $3
