  1. If you do I would recommend checking in on them periodically. The book own weight could create damage to the bottom edge, as gravity pushes it against the edge of the inner well.
  2. I have dozens of holders and sheets of microchamber paper sitting in my garbage can, so I would have to say no.
  3. Here's one that should be fun. Picked this up a few years ago cheap. Figured it would be a project one day, and today is the day. Will send it in this week to be graded so it will be a while before I post the final results. Scan is before pressing. Will not have a post pressing scan. Want to test everyone's skills a little bit here.
  4. It also depends on the type of eraser used. If they used a regular pencil eraser it will damage the paper and remove the gloss. Most likely what happened here. I have removed many grease pencil marks and never received this type of notation in the notes.
  5. Is the texture normal on newer books? The book doesn’t look right to me.
  6. Anyone can get them unstuck. The degree of residual damage is determined by the skill of the person working on the book.
  7. I’ll bring plenty of USD as long as we get first crack at them.
  8. I see rust migration from the top staple. Is that just dirt on the back cover or mold? Press will help, but the water related damage is going to get hammered on this book. Especially if it is moldy.
  9. Hopefully I am healthy by then. Seems I have owned this last flu.
  10. I have a few copies of this particular issue laying around that I need to check. Maybe it is the way it was produced, but it looks like light pebbling to me.
  11. This book has an abnormal sheen and texture to it.
  12. Basically you are completely in the dark until the books ship. If you happen to catch it at the right moment, you can look at the submission for any label issues, etc. and call CGC in a window that may be open for a few hours at best. In most cases any issues will only be discovered when the books are received by the owner.
  13. Yes, a press would help. If the book has sentimental value you should have it pressed. If you just want a nicer copy, you can buy onein NM+ or better for around $10 at any show or even e-bay.
