Is "Unexpected" a hard title to find in high grade?

Unless the buyer is out and out lying what story could the seller come up with that would justify his course of action? Price was met. Book appeared to be off the market. First payment made. Seller was contacted that book would be paid for in full slighly ahead of schedule.

I have a copy but nowhere near as nice. Someone pulled a copy out of Jamie Grahams books at C2E2 that should be a 9.2 easy with an outside shot at 9.4.
