  6. Up first is Iron Fist #1 CGC 9.6 signed by Chris Claremont. $400.00
  7. Got some stuff I am looking to move. Consider them all pressed. No returns on slabs. No one on any lists. Shipping is included in CONUS. I will entertain trades. I accept PayPal, checks and money orders. If you live close enough, you can pick up instead of me mailing them out.
  8. In this case to be insured properly you would need to go at least express to cover loss or damage.
  9. You have to take an educated guess or max it out, just in case something like this happens.
  10. Dock each employee that is the last to handle the slabs (I would assume the encapsulation room) $0.50 per book that is put in upside down, entombed with foreign materials, damaged, mislabeled, etc. I imaging it would be easy to track which invoices were encased by whom. What would happen if you worked a 40 hour work week and ended up owing the company money at the end of the week? What would you do as a business owner?
  11. MCS was busy at Baltimore. Add Steve Borock into the formula and they are one of the go to places to consign books and artwork. The plain truth is CGC will generate their own submission through private signings and dealers who make a living selling comics will continue to submit. Very little is going to stop that from happening at this point, and the small guy who decides to stop submitting will go unnoticed.
  12. I can see doing nothing if you take paper off a book via a tape pull, but leaving extra paper on is laughable, especially since they did it. Appears there was no attempt to bring this to QC and say “what do we do now”.
  13. I have an opinion on what happened here. But I won’t share it. Needless to say whoever is running CCS needs to look at their process and do a complete overhaul. I hear the main person just changed hands and this may be a result of them just not knowing what works on one book won’t work on another. As much as some try to make it an assembly line process, pressing a book should be on a book by book basis.
  14. Go to shows and physically be able to review the book. While not as convenient, it is the most secure way to buy.
  15. I’m sure I will be blamed somehow.
  16. More likely the creases were introduced after grading as they forced the book into the inner well.
