Anyone had value or economy slow track make it through to shipped in the past few months.  Seeing lots of moderns... My timeline:

    Arrived at CGC- 4/2/21

    Accepted/Received- 5/2/21

    SFG- 5/2/21

6x Book Economy Submission (No Press, No FT)
    Received - 4/1/21
    SFG - 4/2/21
    Been in SFG ever since....

12x Book Economy Submission (No Press, No FT)
    Received - 4/1/21
    SFG - 4/2/21
    Been in SFG ever since....

  2. Exactly. There is a much greater demand across the board (more so for CGC as it has historically pulled a higher return), and not just for comics. Majority of folks are trying to cash in while they can, CGC included (hence the disregard for trying to improve TAT or general customer service). There's no need to do anything extra beyond what's been done if the money keeps coming in lol

  3. Anyone have a regular Modern Pre-Screen submission (no Fast Track) entered as "Received" on/before 3/25/2021 that they are still waiting on? Seems like most people did Fast Track based on all the updates I've seen. Hoping to see if they are working their way towards mine, or if it might have been skipped (because we all know FIFO is a lie...)

Yes. I used CCS in October of last year and didn't get my books back until March and within that time I submitted my January box that you and I have been comparing times. I have now switched to this guy based in Los Angeles: https://www.cscspressing.com/ . Since switching to him I've had 3 boxes lap my January shipment (and probably a few more before all is said and done). He's relatively cheap - 10 bucks a book, 10% discount every 10 books submitted, 20% for 20 books submitted and he turns books around in 2-3 weeks.

He's gotten me a better 9.8 return than when I went through CCS, so I cant complain. CGC still hasn't started unboxing from the date they announced the rate change so I feel like I whacked the CCS wait mole, but CGC is going to be a problem once we really see what that backlog is.

Brent/Karen over at CSCS are good people! Very quick turnarounds for books, and is always honest/upfront about whether the press will really help or not. Also like being able to meet-up with them and hand the books off vs mailing them if you're in southern California.

Odd...I sent in a submission in March, it was listed as "Received" on 4/6/21. Ok, that's to be expected. It's still in "Received" status.

I sent another submission a few weeks later, mid-April, and it not only shows up today under "Submission Status" but it went right into "Scheduled for Grading" status, even though it even says it was received on 5/18/21.

Seems to be a common occurrence lately, which is causing a lot of us to questions this whole "First In, First Out" policy that CGC advertises. Same thing happened to me:

I'm no rocket surgeon but maybe they should hire a few more folks to deal with the increased volume.

And risk cutting into all their profits from this booming demand? I could only hope so! They are sitting on a HUGE load of money there, especially with everyone and their mother submitting a few weeks ago to beat the price increases. And as CGC has made abundantly clear, once CGC has our books, there's no getting them back until CGC says they're done. To be fair, we should all know what we signed up for when we submitted, as we hear again and again that turnaround times are "estimates".

Confident in saying I won't be submitting any more books for my personal collection once I get these pending ones returned to me. CGC has made it clear they value profit over service. Thankfully my membership is expiring in September (which is probably a month or two after I'll be getting my books back).  Doesn't feel right whatsoever supporting a company that's freely holding our property hostage because of  "estimates" (shrug)

considering some of us have large sums of money tied up in cards.

YIKES. You do realize that these imaginary large sums of money can only realistically be obtained via CGC right now? Think you about: that money doesn't exist until someone pays you what THEY think they're worth, and the market has always paid for more for CGC-graded items. You have no other viable option of getting these returns, because lets be honest, you aren't going to submit anywhere else and risk getting a smaller piece of the pie. So why do you all keep insisting on biting the hand that has yet to feed you? By all means, please let your fellow card submitters know how it goes with those other two companies you posted (you won't) lol

I think I "know" that dude. There's a grader who supplies notes on everything 9.4 and below (sometimes 9.6 too). And if book is rough/low grade, it's every sin, not just the top 2 or 3 problems.

"every sin" is pretty spot on for these. YEEESH, stuff that I've never seen documented on any prior grading notes I've ever been provided with  lol

    4 book Standard submission

    - Delivered 3/26/2021
    - "Received" 4/22/2021 (package sat for almost 4 weeks exactly)
    - Scheduled for Grading 4/22/2021
    - Grading/Quality Control 4/29/2021

    Update (finally):

    - Delivered 3/26/2021
    - "Received" 4/22/2021 (package sat for almost 4 weeks exactly)
    - Scheduled for Grading 4/22/2021
    - Grading/Quality Control 4/29/2021
    - Finalized/Imaged/Shipped: 5/4/2021

Received almost a paragraph of Graders Notes for each of my books, which is why I'm thinking it took almost 4 days to grade these 4 books. Nice to see some attention to detail (as compared to my modern submissions that come back with the same grades, but just one or two lines of notes).

this kind of freaks me out- my fast tracks books from march 13 have been at scheduled for grading since 4/7- how did your standards go so fast?

No results yet, though don't anticipate any until later today/tomorrow morning based on past experiences.

I wouldn't freak out too much. My current (Modern) and previous (Value) Fast Track submissions sat in SFG for quite some time. It's been that way since December of 2020 that they almost immediately go to SFG and sit the entire duration of the turnaround time in there.

I'm wanting to get 4 books graded currently and was wanting to use economy fast track. I was going to buy a premium membership (150) but was wondering if it's worth doing or should I look elsewhere ? It's been almost 4 years since I've really bought or submitted books.

I think it depends on what you are hoping to do with these 4 books.... staying in the personal collection, or are you trying to cash in on the hot market? If trying to cash in, I'd only really bother if its a hot/key book that will grade high. If it's to keep in your collection, I'd say wait it out until this surge dies down....

Just my opinion. The 4 books I finally got around to submitting are for my personal collection.... if I had known it was going to be this crazy, I would have waited honestly.

  12. I believe this function was to meant to appease everyone that is overly-concerned about their packages showing "Delivered" by their respective carrier, but still not showing as "Received" in their account. So it's more of an attempt to say "Calm down, anxious collector. Your package is sitting here, it was not destroyed, delivered to the wrong address, stolen, or any other paranoid situation that is running through your head right  (as you check your account every hour)".

Now only if they could get it to work.... :|
