Not sure if it was the true cause, but my 6/29 FT Economy books were shipped with an Express and Standard submission. Who knows anymore...

Can anyone provide guidance or an opinion on why a 24 x book modern order would be stalled at G/E/I since 6/20/22? It was marked received on 4/7/22 with no other added services.

I have been watching this thread for weeks and it seems that other people with modern orders received well after mine are getting Q/C and shipped.

I emailed customer service about it last week and they told me there was no issue with my order and books received on 3/16/22 are currently entering quality control which is ridiculous. Greggy has been posting updates all day with modern orders received 5 weeks after mine that have already shipped.

Anyone have any insight? @CGC Mike?

No one knows why this happens, but its become common knowledge . The "First In, First Out" policy was seemingly thrown out the window, and the explanation provided some time ago was that a new process/workflow was being implemented. This resulted in Modern submissions that were received more recently getting out the door in lightspeed time, and those that were received well before still sitting. Nobody knows, and everyone just accepts it since they get lucky every now and then.

    Is it odd?

That CGC usually marked shipped but it doesn't go to the carrier until the next day? @CGC Mike is it still noon pick up? Seems that tracking still doesn't register as received by carrier until evening anyway so I was just curious.

My Eastman marked shipped today, but is marked for tomorrow. Seems usual cgc delivery means a Monday where I live, but it almost had a chance of this week if out today when it was ready for shipped.

    Just curious rantrant

Happened to myrecent submission. Updated to Shipped on 7/11/22, but the date actually displayed under the Shipped column read 7/12/22. Tracking still provided on 7/11/22, and it did show that the carrier (FedEx) was in possession of the item on 7/11/22.

thanks for this update! I think that's about 15-16 business days? I have some received on June 29th, so I'm guessing by the end of next week they should at least be in Grading/QC.

I went for the first time this past weekend, great show. Picked this up from my guy, Elveen

Nice grabs! Glad you were able to find something. I actually sold my copy of Megaton #3 towards the end of the show.

Christian (Elveen's Comics) is a great guy. I used to hit up his backyard sales every now and then before Covid. I'm really glad he's setting up at NMS given he's become a staple of the So-Cal comic con/show scene.

  7. @Robot Man Thank you so much for coming out, and I appreciate you providing your feedback for everyone here to read. The DJ was something new to this second show, didn't have that the first time around. While I enjoyed the music, it did get pretty loud at times.

GA books were definitely in the minority, though I see you connected with some of the few vendors that had some (Joker and Queen's Comics, and Brad at Fine/Very Fine Comics). Glad you were able to come away with something! And I hope to see you at the next one as a vendor

  8. Final bump of the week!

50+ vendors (mix of bigger dealers and private collectors), books from all eras (yes, including Golden Age), free parking, free admission, free wifi, A/C flowing, and best of all: STRICTLY COMICS! What more could you want in a comic show?

I'll personally have about 10 long boxes worth of books, including $1, $5, $10, and some individually priced. I'll be offering volume discounts all day, as I'm hoping to clear some space and set up a pressing station in my work space. The more books I clear the better!

If you do attend, please come by and say "Hi". My name is Aaron, and I'll be set-up as A-One's Comics. Hope to see you there!

Does anyone know how many times a week CGC picks USPS parcels? Mine was delivered and has been sitting in the Sarasota PO for two days waiting for pickup.(shrug)

Took mine about 2-3 business days to show up on my account after it was shown as "delivered to the PO box" on the USPS website. You'll be fine.

this is strange..sent in 26 comics ..broken up in two submissions ..I only thought each submission had to be 25 minimum..not also maximum

I've had this happen before too, not sure if its a shipping issue? Like they could only safely/securely fit 25 slabs per box?
