  1. I'm very interested to hear which auction houses have been caught shilling their books? Any links that can provide more info? I have my suspicions on one auction house in particular
  2. Would need a clear photo/scan of the entire book, front and back, to make a more accurate assessment on the grade. From the blurry photos you provided, the spine looks very nice except for the bottom area wear. Overall, an 8.0 is not out of the question with those defects that are visible.
  3. Definitely a super tough decision to exclude #50, possibly the greatest Spidey cover of them all
  4. Great book and that is an awesome collecting goal!
  5. I'm still wondering why did they even use "Berk" in the name? I honestly thought this entity had something to do with Jon Berk! Possibly part of the deception What's the penalty for creating a fraudulent charity?
  6. I had actually thought this entity had something to do with Jon Berk and a charity associated with his sold comics
  7. Very interesting, you can definitely feel the change at Marvel going on with this issue...
  8. Absolutely! Many pedigree books are identified by their unique date stamp or date mark. Love this "date stamp" pedigree
  9. Lol, not absolutely perfect, but you don't know how many years it took me to find this wrapped copy alone, without the code being cut off! It more than appeased my collecting OCD
  10. I'm a fan of well centered/wrapped books and will pay a premium for those hard to find issues. #129 is notorious for being miss-wrapped and poorly centered. In my preference, I don't mind a very tiny bit of cover wrapped to the back, over a white miss-wrap to the front. I also look for a #129 that doesn't have the "comics code" cut off at the top.
  11. It had felt when Stan turned over the writing duties to Roy Thomas with #101, that marked the transition of a new age in Spidey. But you make a convincing argument that the drug issues could have represented that change, similar to Adams with the GL run
  12. The Spidey drug issues still give me a Silver 60's vibe for some reason. Morbius would be an interesting starting point for the Bronze age of Spidey
  13. That's a pretty good end point for Marvel in general. Don't most people say the start of DC Bronze began with Adams GL #76?
  14. Is there still a possibility that Marvel and Sony could come to some financial agreement in the coming months, with all this being a negotiation strategy by both sides?
  15. Left that one out, but maybe I'll look for one and make a 7 issue run of it after all
  16. Not positive if these belong in Silver or Bronze, but thought I'd go ahead and post em here. A couple of Spidey trilogies:
  17. Who owns the movie rights to Mysterio, Sony or Marvel? If a Sinister Six movie was made by Sony, would they need to negotiate rights with Marvel for any of the characters?
