  1. Thank you guys! Really enjoying putting together these runs of Spidey books.
  2. It's an unbelievably gorgeous book, but I believe Bob is correct in his observation of the pressings:
  3. Here's the thread which illustrates the top right corner page fanning and starched appearance associated with certain press jobs. Page 1 where namisgr clearly displays the before and after results of JIM #93: Cole Schave books
  4. Why would you wonder that? I think the reason some people may wonder is that many collector's would prefer fresh Pedigree books that come to market to be unpressed, unmanipulated, and over-all untouched, just left as the original owner had them in his/her collection for all those years. I know in this day that is unrealistic, but "when it does happen" it gives a sense of owning a piece of history that hasn't been altered to extract that extra dollar.
  5. hard to distinguish between his mistakes and his hits Don't knock this sub. This is one of my best one in years. Beautiful books!
  6. Nice book! Now straighten out that bottom right corner
  7. Here's my #22. Can't remember if I already posted it. 1st appearance of Princess Python
  8. I'll say! Congrats on all those beauties! Lots of great books from everyone! I still can't get enough of those Ditko covers
  9. I am a fan of billiards and Willie Mosconi was one of the all-time greats, and my avatar comes from one of my favorite Spidey covers.
  10. I have always loved the colors on 9 Beautiful book Jeff!!
  11. Congrats on those great books Mike!! They all have beautiful eye appeal and fantastic colors! Some of my favorite covers
  12. Same here. For some reason I've always loved the cover to #20. Maybe it's the colors and the cool, dramatic Scorpion/Spidey pose
  13. Great books everyone!! Really enjoy those Ditko covers Anyone a fan of #9?
  14. Ok, thanks! Yes, my question did pertain to value and price as well. I didn't think it would matter, but as you mentioned, I guess some collectors may desire lower numbered ones or the #1 in the run
  15. Another newb question. For Bowen Marvel busts and statues, are the lower numbered busts/statues in the limited production run more desirable than the higher numbered ones. Ex: is 2/10000 a more desirable bust/statue than the one that's 9999/10000 in that production run?
  16. Ok, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to statue and bust collecting but find them to be really cool looking. I'm actually interested in picking up some Bowen Marvel busts to get my feet wet and I like the smaller figures. Is there a website which gives market values of the various busts out there, or do people just go off completed sales on EBay? Thanks for the information!
  17. Beautiful book and great Spidey cover! Here's another Spidey Suscha News:
  18. Very nice books and great idea to resurrect this thread. I don't see too many Spidey pedigree's listed so here's one of mine. Any other Spidey pedigree's out there?
  19. That is definitely a beauty! Bright, vibrant colors Are you planning to CGC it?
