  1. No, let's not. My copy of Tec 327 is better looking than my WF 141.
  2. As an additional FYI, Batman # 163 does indeed say that Detective Comics was to go on sale on March 26 according to the ad on the bottom of story (# 1) page 12.
  3. It kind of seems like they placed the oval on Batman after the original art but before the coloring. I simply base that on the way it is "drawn on" in the bottom panel of page 5. Looks like a late addition.
  4. In the story inside the issue, Batman does have the yellow oval around the bat. According to Mike's DC site, Batman # 163 (no oval) was on sale March 5, 1964, this issue of World's Finest on March 12 & Detective # 327 on March 26. And considering the cover does not have the oval but the stories inside do, I believe the release dates.
  5. First "new look" Batman. Wonder if it will ever be recognized as such? Eddie
  6. Well a current Ebay auction answered my question. The center book is From Beyond the Unknown #19.
  7. If you want, I can send you what I have and maybe we can get a good list together. Yours seems to have more than mine, but you never know. I will be getting the A-10 pack in a few days and when I do I will let you know what the other book is. I know what I want it to be... but that's a long shot.
  8. To all you knowledgeable pack fans, what is the middle copy of A-10 that has Superman 257 and Jimmy Olsen 153 on the outside showing? At one point I was putting together a list of DC packs and what was included in each. Maybe I need to get back to that.
  9. I'll trade it for a 9.4 or better Detective 481. Don't know why I can't find one of those darn things.....
  10. I believe mine would be around a 9.4 or so. I guess back to the bottom box it goes.
  11. So in all your personal opinions, you would grade this book? What grades? 9.4 and up? 9.8 only?
  12. Nah. Simple attrition. Nobody cared that much to save them when they came out, and they all ended up in quarter bins over the years. Same with #3-5. Funnily enough, my copy was in the bottom box of a stack until I read this thread. Of course, it was bagged and boarded, but still not really thought of.
  13. I have a Primer # 2 at CGC 9.0 and this one and a Primer 6 in what looks NM. If I could figure out how to post the picture here, I would. What makes Primer 6 so hard in grade? Is it the all white back cover?
  14. If you are ever interested in selling that D-3 pack, let me know. I have a few I can scan tonight and post when I get home. I love these packs and look for them all the time. Eddie
