  1. Awwww...I'm gonna cry.... (sniff) I quit the podcast. Got tired of Sean always contradicting everything I said (and, as 400 pointed out, only to agree with it 30 minutes later.) From the looks of it, they're doing better than ever. I was clearly holding them all back. Everyone's gushing over how sucky I was and how awesome Elveen and Jonesy are. Good for them, seriously. Zeph!!!
  2. Oh, and my last comment was meant for forestdharma.
  3. Listen, please. I don`t mind your poetry, and your chatting, and sublime conversation, but could you take it to the Water Cooler, please. This is Comics General, and is ``meant`` for general chit chat regarding comics. Thanks very much, kind sir. Andy
  4. Just got a head's up PM from Frank at Metro that he's going to put a stop to this thread tonight. I guess he's got a thing for temples? That, and his business' reputation is on the line.
  5. I'm feeling shades of Luxx. Love your new sig line, Dice. (thumbs u Couldn't you squeeze a couple more in, though?
  6. I'll have to disagree and perhaps be proven wrong. This, I think, is an anomoly. Figuring a 5.0 at $1000, mayyyybe $1500 is a bit of a stretch. $2300 for that 4.5 just blows my mind. Maybe it's pressable and the buyer thinks it'll get a grade bump or two. the 8.0 going for $17000 sets the new benchmark for The really high end books, but not really mid-low grade, I wouldn't think. A 6.0 should not be a $5000 book, it isn't. Well, it wouldn't be at auction, anyway. Put one up on clink and see what dumdum wants to pay $5000, then you never know. Interesting with this latest sale, though, to be sure.
  7. I just saw....$2,352!!!! OMG! That just doesn't make sense.
  8. +1 Hang out here, read the worthy threads and try to add your opinions to the topics that interest you. (thumbs u Andy
  9. In my opinion, the war books have nowhere to go but up, in terms of popularity. It's an untapped market that is just beginning to catch on. I really don't see this as a phase that's hot for the time being. Andy
  10. My question is... if a cgc 8.0 goes for $18K, what does the solid raw 5.0 that us mere mortals typically have rate? Do we think the prices on the high end will start affecting the mid-grades on that particular book? Love to hear the thoughts... my thoughts are all #83s are the book to own. Grade is unimportant. Well, what I mean is, the price jump should be across the board. The highest graded will always be nosebleed high. A 5.0 is a thousand bucks (ish).
  11. Heritage's auction of Keith's books is on right now live. I picked this beauty up: Wish I were more in the market. There are some absolutely amazing books going for relatively un-amazing prices. Books you may never see again in these kinds of grades. Andy
