  1. Yeah, Shep, the GIC 91 is a beaut! I've got my eye on the GIC 83, though. It'll be really interesting to see what these go for.
  2. It got a nice grade, alright. Still pretty damned beautiful, not sure if I'd agree with the 9.6 as well, but I haven't held the book in hand so it's tough to say.
  3. There are some great books coming up in auction from Heritage. Below, I made some links to a few of them. I think they're Keith Marlow's books, but I'm not sure. They haven't added the descriptions yet on these ones. Whatever, doesn't matter who owns them, they are kick-! 4. Nice one! (thumbs u Thanks Hepcat & Bill977. I was able to obtain this one from a LCS a few years ago. The shop had just received a large influx of comics, evidently from one collector. Many of the books have the name "Sue", or the letters "S", "gn" or T" on the cover. At any rate the books tend to be pretty nice except for the lettering. Does anyone enjoy the Charlton war books? I have a few of those plus more GIC, a handful of the other big 5 titles, and a few Sgt Fury's also. Charlton war can be a lot of fun to read as well. I've got stacks of them that I haven't looked at in years. Perhaps I'll pull them out soon?

  18. I just looked back to when you started the thread, and I'm proud to say I was the second poster! This is an awesome thread, and one of the best threads on these entire forums. The collectors are passionate, genuinely tolerant and respectful, and the books are just fantastic. Best of all, it's great to know that you're not alone in your idiosyncratic lust for a very, very particular corner of comics fandom (as it used to be called.) I'm proud to say that this thread is one of my habits now... I check it at least once a day (and often several times) even if I don't post. Thanks for startin' it up, John! Shep Far and away the best thread on the boards for me. Thanks John, and thanks to HouseOfComics.com for sending me the link. (thumbs u Also a great thread to quietly announce my new sales thread going up in the next 5 minutes. Andy
