  1. Thanks guys! Feel free to join in the game if you like, and hopefully win a couple of them. I'm just posting here as a reminder for all my war buddies, Shep included, that if you'd like to play in Week 9, you'd better get your guesses in before Saturday at 11:00 PM EST. Here's the link , just scroll down and you'll see the list of books in this week's auctions, as well as my predictions, as well as an actual link to those books for sale at Heritage. Thanks all! Andy
  2. Almost a month since the last post. Anyone buy any nice bronze age war books recently? Certainly doesn't have to be DC. (thumbs u Andy
  3. Never saw them before. Best of luck, though. (thumbs u Andy
  4. Great sketch books, Mervin!! I'd say the Unknown Soldier is my fave there, followed by the Enemy Ace. All very nice, mind you. (thumbs u Andy
  5. Well, then get in those games, guys. It's not hard to "guess" and you've got an added bonus if you're actually bidding.
  6. Special thanks to hesdeadjim (Rudi) for doing these up for me. I had 6 of each of these shirts made, 3 XL, 3 L. I will be keeping 1 of each, so 5 of each available, actually. These are for prizes for winning my weekly contests, and I'll try to have some for the top 3 finishers overall as well. Rudi even made up this one of a kind tee and (I imagine) through it in as a bonus. I think these all look great! How about you?? Andy
  7. Thanks Mervin, I'll check those links out and comment a little later. (thumbs u I did want to mention that I've got the pictures of my t-shirt giveaways now. I just have to upload them and post them here. I'm giving them away in my war comics sale/promo thread. The link to that thread is below. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4139176#Post4139176 Andy
  8. Suweet!! Beautiful books, Richard!!! Now, who the h3ll is this special boardie?
  9. I seventh that motion. I've had successful transactions with comicseekers in the past, but I do know that there have been board transaction problems with him at least 3 or 4 times. Definite Hall of Shame material. I'm telling you right now, comicseekers is going to be piiii-iii-ssed off, alright. In the very least, he'll be wanting that $20 back.
  10. Humminah humminah humminah. . . drool Congrats, Mick, for winning Week 7's DC War t-shirt! Andy Woohoo!!! Thanks Andy. That makes 5 war comics-themed t-shirts: the 2 Big-5 banquet shirts we made over the years, the SD Comicon Sgt. Rock shirt, and the huge Sgt. Rock head portrait shirt + the Andy war shirt. Can't wait to see it!!! You'll have your choice of 10 different styles, Mick. I'll post them when they come in, which should be any day now. Andy
  11. Humminah humminah humminah. . . drool Congrats, Mick, for winning Week 7's DC War t-shirt! Andy
  12. Yup, she's a beaut!! Enjoy that puppy, Richard. (thumbs u I may end up taking you up on that "visit anytime" offer. Super sweet OAAW 65, too! (worship)
  13. yep, very sad. My love goes out to Jerry and his family. Andy
  14. I've got to agree. They've been absolutely chocked full of nice DC war every week. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's going to continue on until perhaps February or March of next year. Andy
  15. Just copying and pasting the results of my books at Heritage. In my mind, the biggest surprise is the OAAW 29. Early Our Army + nice high grade + pedigree, to boot. $108 including the juice? What a steal for the winner. I'd love to see who's winning these books....anyone, anyone? Here's my promo thread/contest. If you haven't been following the results, you can go to the first post of that thread and read them all. Hoping some of you join in and play, and for those that are in and haven't been getting me your predictions, come on! This thread has been fairly quiet in the last couple of months and I feel that there's actually lots to talk about with just the small market of my books at Heritage. Every week, there's books that surprise, books that disappoint (from this seller's viewpoint), and books that are so tough to find, it's just a joy to see them being offered. You are all welcome to visit that thread above and post your views on the books and the auctions, in fact, I encourage it. (thumbs u Thanks guys and gals! Andy
  16. Thanks Shep, those are perfect!! Thanks everyone!!
