I would say "not a good deal". If it were a CGC graded 6.0, it may (perhaps should) sell for that amount. However, it's a raw book and it didn't look that great to me. 5.5 tops, I'd say. We'll see. If the buyer is a boardie and gets the book graded, I'd like to hear what it comes back at.

I will also add to the list of people who jumped all over this guy.. The 129 thread he had going was a pack of lies and I for one do not want to see nayone get ripped off..This is a tight knit group here and I hate to see any scammers getting any of our hard earned money.. I apoligize as well..I dont know this guy..Who knows.. maybe he was legit but odds are that he is NOT so I just will stay away from his threads .. He has since changed his ID and started listing in the grading section again...With the bugs still in his scans ..I wish him luck and anyone who buys from him I wish them luck as well.. My behavior was not really called for and I offer up my apoligies as well I also want to keep the forums a safe place, specifically in the marketplace. I didn't know that he has now changed his name, perhaps pretending to be someone else. Can you post his new ID, please? I didn't think anyone would buy his books, but that's not really my point. It's how he was treated. Was/is he a scammer? Possibly, I suppose. Could be legit, I really don't know. He may be unknown to many of us, but I don't think he was asked for any references. People just all around him until he had no choice but to step in it.

A newer member here, pc1009, started a sale recently (ASM 129 + others) and it didn't go over very well. Anyone see it? Comments? He broke a couple of rules. He was asking for offers on his books. (Later, it was shown that he was also trying to sell the main book on eBay.) A couple of us pointed out the infractions and gave a link to the selling guidelines. Then the pile-on happened. Questions about where the book came from, I don't know if they were answered or if they really needed to be answered. He was attacked for his spelling, grammar, and poor English skills. He was called a person_having_a_hard_time_understanding_my_point and piled on some more. He fought back, the mods were notified and the thread was locked and deleted. Yes, he broke a couple of selling rules. Yes, he was shown the guidelines for selling. Shouldn't it stop there? Did the rest of that train wreck really need to happen? Was the belittling necessary? Personally, I felt badly for the guy. What do you guys think? :shrug: Andy
