  1. Yeah, I know booths at Chicago aren't cheap, somewhere around $800 for a 10' booth. That's actually not that bad for a 4 day show. I figure San Diego would be a little bit higher, but not much higher. If anyone has set up there before and knows the rates, please chime in. (thumbs u Andy
  2. I had actually logged into Heritage Live as well. I was going to up my bid a bit, but was prepared to watch someone else take it for $3500 to $4k or thereabouts. I was ecstatic when I didn't hear a peep out of the crowd on the streaming video. Great buy, m'lad.
  3. Kudos to MisterX for a recent purchase! Newbie came through with full marks. (thumbs u Andy
  4. Here's a link to the 2nd annual DC war comic cover Survivor Series that I've just started. Get in there are start voting. (thumbs u Andy

  6. I absolutely love it, by the way. Congratulations!! Andy
  7. You got that at a great price, IMHO. I was all prepared to bid live on it, the auction was approaching, a customer came in to sell me some coins and I stupidly took a quick look through them and bought them for $12. I seriously ran back to the computer and the lot had just finished. You may have still won that great piece of art, but you would have paid about half a grand more. Fricken $12 in crappy coins!!!
  8. More like 92%. Kinda worked against me at this show though. I would like to try Chicago or San Diego with a booth of only DC war.
  9. Got these in the CLink auction tonight:
  10. I'd say the one with the closeup of the Unknown Soldier, SSWS 159, will do the best, probably $4000. Next would be SSWS 156, although I'm hoping it doesn't go high as I'm the high bidder right now. Love that cover with all of the masks! If there's another boardie here who's bidding on #156 as well, send me a PM. Blitzkrieg should get $4000. Come to think of it, I'd say that'll be the range for most of them. We could be surprised and see them end up in the $5000-6000 range. Andy
  11. Umm, the guy in the middle should re-think his position Don't see this book that often! I always wondered that myself.....
  12. Really great books, Mike! If you can, please take some time to post your faves in the war comic thread I started in Comics General. (thumbs u Andy
  13. Don't be dumb and post books from other publishers. What can I say? I'm biased.
  14. Hey all, Just wanted to give you a head's up that I'm starting a thread for nominations for the best DC war cover comics. Here's the link (click me). It's over in Comics General. I know, I know, but that's where it'll get the most exposure. Plus, I like to see other people enjoy these great covers, not just us geeks. Get over there and start posting your nominations. All will be a part of this contest. This will morph into the Survivor Series that I started up a year ago. So, make sure you post your favourites, (ahem, Mick), and no excuses about how "I don't know how this one didn't make your contest" etc, etc.... Andy
  15. That's right, call me a tease again, Jeffro.
  16. My internet was down last night and I missed out on many of those auctions.
