Do you have scans of the book before you sent it in?

Since this was a run of the mill low cost book, I would just list it on Ebay as a 6.0 and take the hit. Someone will get a nice looking 6.0 copy.
Crack that person_without_enough_empathy out and see why it's a 6.0.
Then send it back through the puppy mill.

Just got back a box of 25 moderns, and another half-assed job by encapsulation.
Scuffs, scratches, hair, etc.
Does CGC use a buffer to polish small defects out of slabs?

This is what I am trying to avoid and if the glitch keeps saying I owe fees, would I even be able to?
I have a fair number of followers and feedback (by my standards) and would hate to have to "start over" but if it comes to it...I may just have to.
New email address new account new fees.
You can always reference your other account in your listings.
I would try to get added to concierge.
They are usually very helpful.

Are you talking about post year 2000 books or 1975-1999?
1975-1999 I feel its pretty much the same as it has always been. On my end I am not seeing over all invoices I disagree with besides the usual 2-3 per 100 books submitted.

If you learn how to grade you won't make these mistakes
The same could be said about the current modern graders.

sample of 49 raw books I have sent in over the last couple of months, three of which did not have detached covers when they left:
higher than my grade: 1
same as my grade: 2
Lower than my grade:
by one grade: 10
by two grades: 13
by three grades: 12
by four grades: 4
by five grades: 5
by eight grades: 2
by nine grades: 1
And a couple of these were further downgraded between MCS initial grading and when they were scanned and ready for me to price.
I grade to what I think CGC would grade the book.

So you would send these back to CGC? The scuffing on the "9.8" part of the book is very common tough to get rid of that. It's from the encapsulation machine. Others are probably from shipping, and CGC slabs grinding on each other in the box.
No I did not send them all back but these scuffs are not from shipping.
And if the ones by the grade are from the encapsulation machine they need to fix it.

These are happening during encapsulation not during shipping.
I took some new holders I had cracked out and it was very easy to duplicate these marks using one to scuff another.
When I put them in the plastic bags they are shipped in I could not duplicate these marks.

I just got back a box this week and defect free as well.
That's a first in a long time.
Inspector #5 stamped on the invoice.
