Oh no, let me edit my original post.  I was under the impression that once a seller counters with a new price that the $725 is a dead deal.  So therefore he cannot go back and reconsider after his counter.

Your offer of $725 is still there even if the seller counters.

There are a couple of options of what you can do after the counter, but you can go in and reject the counter and cancel your $725 bid.

If you get there early. Definitely. I got an early crack at a guy at nycc years ago who had books like these and pulled a ton of gorgeous BA horror. Came back the next day when I had done some research and realized many were $20-30 copies in these grades and sadly the 9.2-9.6 books I had not bought were now VFs.

For $3 a book it's hard to lose money buying them even if you haven't done your research.

I went through a couple boxes again on Saturday and there were still lots of NM 9.2-9.4+ bronze marvels in there.

Why are you quoting me? I responded to "lunchboxcollector" who writes like an LD 9 year old, not to you, an Emmy-award winning writer who has been compared on various podcasts to Stan Lee.

    Some ancient mating ritual?

  4. Good luck dealing with this guy in PMs.

I worked out a deal on two books and accepted his counter offer an hour before the :takeit:was placed on the FF45.

I get a PM this morning:

Sorry but someone put in the forum thread a "Take It" on FF45.  I probably should have told you to just put a Take It there if you agreed to my counter offer.  If this person doesn't come through it's all yours.

Just an update, I was able to send payment today. I have no idea why it works today and not yesterday and don’t know if it will work tomorrow but at least the seller won’t be worried about receiving their payment.

It worked because Paypal was readimg this thread.
