SOLD VIA PM Frederic Wertham's paper from April 1941 entilted "The Matricidal Impluse", a Dark Legend precursor, to the September 1941 publication of Dark Legend, where for the first time he makes a connection between comic books and crime in The Dark Legend. This the only known copy of this publication outside of the Library of Congress (There is a copy in Frederic Wertham's papers at LOC). Note: Fredric Wertham's Manhattan address is on the rear page and this was very likely distributed by Mr. Wertham (Offprint) himself. See below article: https://www.lambiek.net/comics/wertham_fredric.htm Particularly the following from the text of the above article link: Theories about comics "He focused on the influence of culture and environment on criminal behavior, resulting in the book 'Dark Legend' (1941), about the true story of a 17-year-old who killed his mother. Dr. Wertham noted how the boy lived in a fantasy world, influenced by movies, radio plays and comic books. This was the first time Wertham linked comics to crime, and in his following work he took this link even further. His theories paralleled a rise of more violent comic books. Since the 1930s several detective comics, war comics and superhero comics had become bestsellers" Sold via PM

Just acquired Access to Axis, which is an extremely rare satirical comic with Hitler, Stalin, et al published circa 1943. Illustrations by Jack Boothe and makes an excellent companion to my copy of Heeling Hitler. -

I noticed last night a seller named eddiesrecords listed hundreds of key golden age and silver and bronze age books. The location is listed as Los Angeles but when you look at their business info they are located in the United Kingdom. All those listings were pulled last night and now listed under bckclk1 also showing location as Los Angles. The business info still puts them in the UK accordingly Link to one of their auctions for a CL25: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384720795558?hash=item59932577a6:g:IlsAAOSwM8thmnRx At in the item description regarding the Cinderella Love # 25 it states: WE ACCEPT FAST SALE FOR THIS ITEM AT THE PRICE OF: 6000 US$ STOCK NUMBER: W22A20928 Each item they listed that is a large dollar item they also state you have an option for a "Fast Sale" purchase, yet there is NO BIN. Could be perfectly legit. I just thought I would give a heads up.
