we are gathered here today to pray for the passing of badly timed opinionation......

the u.s. is invading canada next week, i heard. we are not going to allow covid19 safe countries.

and mine, disease wise, and i recall the early 50s stuff. it was nowhere near as over the top as covid 19. then again, social media was nowhere near what it is now. there were 4 tv channels without animated opinionists (i made that word up) giving the news (they were genuine news reporters...imagine that), and there was a newspaper or 2. the closest thing to a cell phone was the tracy communicator watch, and the ma bell party line.

that is my point. it should have been the same level of reaction, all things considered. so why wasn't it? i think we both know. it is the forbidden subject here.

i am not a big sports person, so i don't have the fairest perspective, but considering containment as the first and best line of defense at this time, and considering we do not have readily available testing for everyone at this time, and we do not have a vaccine, cancelling large gatherings is a reasonable approach. it would be impossible to bar just the high risk categories from an event, and would cause further social unrest anyway, so at least until we have immediate testing in place and a vaccine, we would be wise to hold off.

that was a joke, relative to a certain newsworthy personality. however, the gentleman you are referring to did say the same thing over a week ago, at another hearing in another committee.

thank goodness because i thought i was in a continuous medical school lecture for a while there, and had no idea how i was going to pass if i couldn't keep up.

don't leave out everybody that ever entered a boot camp in the u.s. military. and saving brain power had nothing to do with it, nor did Asperger/ autism/ocd. it should be noted, though, that at least half of the persons in boot camp at any one time were clinically psychotic. thus endeth the reasons for dressing the same

there has been a tremendous amount of cash sitting on the sidelines a lot longer than that. a lot longer. many did. wash and repeat and wash and repeat stocks.

it is important to remember that there is a LOT of investment money on the sidelines that has been pulled from the stock market.
