Yes, it's 2nd print with the different price, missing CCA is replaced with Kitchen Sink Comix logo.  1st print books were printed in 1990. Three years later, 2nd print books were printed with varied 3D glasses.

The debate upon the original 3D glasses has been inconsistent .  I believe the publisher bought the wholesale of discarded 3D glasses to save money.

Notice: CGC will take the glasses out of the book for grading. There is only 22 on Census.  Right now, it's now scarce. I looked everywhere but I managed to find one near full run excluded #11 on eBay. #11 is available in Amazon and it didn't mention 3D glasses.  I remembered there were plenty of #1 1st print back in 2018.

Good info.  To note my 3d glasses says on other side for use with 3d posters unlike the ones shown in this thread that say for use with video.

  2. So this is what I am talking about when it come to the 1982/1983 Snake Eyes and Steeler (Mobat driver).  They both came with the same Uzi's.  But there is two types, rounded and one that squared off with a point.  My understanding was that 1982 is rounded and original mold and then 1983 they brought the originals back 1.5 and that was new molds.  So when they redid the molds my understanding is that they would upgrade the design so the Uzi got changed and the points where added to make it look more realistic.  However I have looked at sealed copies of Mobat and Snake Eyes carded and seen them have both.  People do reseals, check yojoe and 3djoes it goes back and fourth.  Rounded in 82 and pointy in 83.  I thought until today accessory pack only came with one type which one person showed me pointy but yet I had a round one due to the pack came later.  Then I got a pointy one today.  It makes me assume they just kept using both molds since for two figures and they intertwined or there was actually a difference between SE and Steeler.  Makes my brain hurt lol.  Pics for reference.  I have a Steeler I bought that came with round.  Second pic is SE with a satchel as reference vs the accessory pack.

Been spending some time IDing parts today, I have this totally random assortment of stuff left. I think most of it is literally junk, but I'm mostly curious abou tthe black thing cicled in blue, if anyone recognizes it. I've ID'd everything that is crossed out in red. The rest of the stuff I'm assuming is junk or not worth IDing, but anyone sees something they recognize, let me know!

Oh, and if anyone knows what line these little army guys came from, that would be cool too! :)

That part I put the red square around is from the GI Joe snake armor.  You put it inside instead of a figure to hold the armor together.

One of the larger collections I've ever purchased arrived this evening. The three biggest pieces (Flagg, Defiant, Terrordrome) weren't even shipped...trying to sell them locally where they're at first simply due to the size. Regardless of that, I've obviously got plenty to do. Lol. All the parts for the vehicles are in Ziplocs and there wasn't even enough room for all the figures to be put on my desk for IDing (I do know a lot of them by sight). Fun times ahead this weekend! 😊😊😊

    (Yes, I'm quoting myself. :insane:)

Here are some comparison shots of the old card and the newer, sturdier cards.  I don't know how well it shows in the pictures, but the new card (on CC) is much thicker and sturdier.  It feels like a classic/standard action figure card back and doesn't curl up like the older ones (Snake Eyes).

    That is a big difference.

My biggest concern with the Defiant would be the gantry wheels. They tend to be fragile from bearing the weight of the gantry over the years, and are often broken. You could try removing them before shipping, but that also poses a risk of breakage. I personally wouldn't ship a Defiant, or buy one to be shipped, but that may just be me. That's definitely the sort of thing I'd hit local toy shows to pick up. We have two GI Joe shows here in town every year, and there's usually a Defiant, or Flagg, or both, floating around in there. Also save on the shipping cost, which I'd imagine is going to be substantial.

Wish my city had better toy shows.  We have nothing but garbage booths that its not even worth the $5 dollars to go anymore lol.  Last show I paid $5 to get in and walked out with two hot wheels for $5 since there was nothing.  Felt more like a flea market then a toy show.  Luckily I know someone for the big comic show and can borrow a vendor pass for a couple hours but even then most of the booths are candy, Funko pops and oddball booths and seldom find anything.  I also don't like buying online anymore since so many scammers and repro items.  Its really slowed down my collecting of Joe and finishing my 1982-89 run.  Even on Facebook you see less and less of earlier joes and when you post up a load of 80's Joe stuff for trade no one has what ya want anymore (my list is getting into the harder to get pieces) or they try and scam ya , try and sell/trade you repro ( which is getting really bad now because everyone has a 3d printer lol), try and convince you an accessory pack uzi is the original and the list goes on.  Why I hold onto my bags of accessories and do trade only and don't sell since no one will let go of their hoards of stuff even to sell.  I am lucky if I find a couple pieces a year.   Why I just been doing modern stuff since collecting the original stuff has become annoying.

Here is an example.  All that stuff in the pictures I put up and I still cant even get one item off my list but everyone wants to buy it all.  Same with transformers.  I even tried the oddball stuff.  I swear I thought someone would trade for that pink panosh princess voltron helmet by now.  The A-Team enemies stuff doesn't show up to often either.  Friggin hoarders lol.

  7. Had a question about a book I see on ebay that all of a sudden starts appearing out of thin air that in my 40+ years of collecting Joe books have never seen or heard of until the last couple months.  Its the ARAH #30 that has a sticker from Family Home Entertainment on it.

    1.  Who put the sticker on those books?

    2.  Why is there so few of them and really no records of them until late?  How come they just started appearing now?

    3.  If it was the vhs store or whoever and not Marvel can we really consider this a variant?

    4.  How come no extra individual stickers have appeared elsewhere or on other products?

    5.  Is it a first or second printing book?

Have concerns also because stickers like that can be faked so easily.  Just seems very odd and gives me that Steel brigade version E feeling.
