  1. Real men sew since we have to customize our gear on the job!
  2. Just a comment. Moon Knight VS Batman - Personally I think Moon Knight would win due to he will go past the line while in the day they stated Batman wouldnt. As for Zod vs Lex. After watching Krypton I really liked the background and the house of Zod. But thats me personally never been a big fan of Lex.
  3. I wouldn't worry about yield. I think I would try and get a full graded set of GI Joe ARAH run if it had to be comics and spend if any money left on GI Joe figures to complete my figure set.
  4. Spawn. Simmons was very well trained soldier before becoming Spawn and is him in full control unlike a symbiote taking a host and dealing with duality. Moon Knight VS Batman
  5. yojoe.com is an other resource. It has the WHOBIT for figuring out accessories and also have all the Joes shown. For in hand data the Ultimate Guide to GI Joe by Mark Bellomo is a great resource and a must have.
  6. Some mailaways where longer. Order forms where sent out one year but item not shipped to the next year. I remember filling out a Steel Brigade one but I did something can't remember what and got grounded so it never got sent in an d ripped up in front of me. That could have been a gold head grrrr lol
  7. I did the Manta mailaway as well. Also did the 3 PAC/RATS and Cobra Commander. Cobra Commander never arrived though. Good ol days of flag points.
  8. As shown above got Maverick so that was final figure I needed for 1987 Battle Force 2000 and got the crotch for Deejay which still working on completing. Was odd that they brought out a lone figure for Battle Force 2000 two years later in 89. Also have both versions of Blocker with visor and no visor.
  9. Did some trading and selling and added some items to my Joe collection. Steeler now is back at home in his tank. Added an other MANTA to my fleet. Like them for display of figures. Flak was extra to fix my Canadian version since needed an unbroken chair with good tabs. Also completed some other figures and bought the 3rd edition guide to add to my collection.
  10. 88 Storm Shadow is notorious for it. I have had tons of them and its a common issue. Well thats feebay for ya. When people also include the shipping into it they think to themselves is it worth it. I just bought a bunch of lots and with my already inventory and stuff I got and what I had completed started listing on facebook which I find is a better place to sell and the communities are more tight nit. I am on the Canadian ones and over last two weeks made over $400 in sales plus lots of trades and completed a bunch of figures myself. As you can see love my Joe stuff. I just picked up a #129 of the original 155 and completed that run today. Pics below is all my extra stuff. Moon Knight was my side hobby lol.
  11. Thanks. I was checking it more seems a bit of dmg to front as well :(. Oh well One day I will upgrade it. Looks like water dmg.
  12. GI Joe is booming right now. Over last 2 weeks sold over $300 worth of loose complete figures. Just listed some last night and had a complete tunnel rat and a bunch of other figures sold within 10 minutes. Prices are at their high right now for hard to get parts. The facebook pages also are getting new people daily and the one facebook page is over 13000 people now. As people also over the years complete their figures finding their gear is getting harder and harder to find.
  13. This is exactly why I don't buy on card and just loose. Plastic and rubber deteriorates. I have also noticed of late the original 13 regardless of year be it 82 or 83 the green figures are just shattering even when stored. I am extra gentle with them. There is also specific years with the cracked elbows, 1988 storm shadow comes to mind.
  14. So finally got a #129. This was the last book I needed of my first print 155 run. The shape of it was listed as 9.0. Front and inside was nice and just a bit of staining on the back cover bottom. It will do though since this book was such a pain to find. Final pic is where I stand and what I need now.
  15. Picked this up the other day. Never had one as a kid and really was only MASK item that intrigued me so had to have it.
  16. I remember years ago it was mentioned he was working on that guide and was looking for a figure to complete it. Could have been a rumour though. I think the next book I want to get by him is Totally Tubular '80s Toys but it is hardcover and not cheap. Hopefully he does an other edition that is soft covered as well. I like how the three I have are all same size and conform lol.
  17. Love these guides from Mark Bellomo. Had the GI JOE one first then the Star Wars but finally went and grabbed the Transformers one. Fun just too look thru them. I've been watching amazon and such for the 3rd edition Joe one but so far seems just in hardcover.
  18. Nothing I know of that is major. It is suppose to have a pin-up in it and is nearing the end of the run so maybe a lower print run. Guide has it at $10 (havn't checked latest Overstreet) but books I have bought around this area of numbers have been $5 -$10cdn each. I know if I am patient will find one at store for proper price. Ebay has them at $30-35 usd (thats including shipping) for the condition I am looking for which is 9.2/nm- and up. Thats $40-46 cdn. Just not willing to pay that when I know once it comes into a local store or show I can get roughly at and at most $13 cdn. I am in no rush anyways. Eventually that book will show up and I will grab it.
  19. Hmm not bad. I know the variant lists was at $188 for it. Paid I think like $30 for the book when I got it. Anyways just need #129 and I have all 155 done so I will just keep on plugging away on completing this set.
  20. Its not for sale. Just wondering if graded what its value would be in those two grades.
  21. Curious what a 9.4 or 9.6 cgc graded #21 75c Canadian one would go for. I have been contemplating getting mine graded and think at the very least its a 9.4 but could get a 9.6. That is to be conservative. Its a pretty decent copy.

  23. All those figures are stored in a box and in a dark place. Two of the white figures yellowed a bit more, 3 figures o-rings broke on them since I last looked at them and Dr Mindbender cape that had the glued on cobra emblem had the glue deteriorate and the emblem is loose in the bag. I have stored these in a cool, dry and dark environment and the stuff still falls apart. This is why I just buy loose figures and don't worry about them on card.
  24. I admit I have a plastic crack addiction. This is just my joe complete figures.
