  1. This is the only Star Wars vehicle I own but its the only one I would actually would want to own. Still nice and white. Only sad part is the cockpit has one small broken gun on it. Been trying to find a replacement part for it since I got it but to no avail. Pretty sure if I remove the sticker in the cockpit very carefully and undo a screw in there that I could replace it. I also should make a cardboard insert for inside of it to keep better shape of the box.
  2. Thickness and thatching on it. Personally I would think that the thinner material would fade faster especially if it sat under sunlight. Light could get thru it easier and deteriorate it faster. Different colours as well fade differently and act differently. I know of other toys were this is the case. I even know of one case were light isn't even the factor in it but it wasn't vinyl but a form of plastic and if I had my guess styrene but unsure. Know the vehicles were made of styrene.
  3. Umm my understanding is the jawa cape is actually different when it comes to the vinyl one. People try and take for example Ben kenobi cape and cut it to make the vinyl cape but the thatching is different. I actually brought this up on hisstank.com when Mark bellomo wrote his guide and felt it was info he should add to the info about the jawa. There is lots of info about this on the internet. https://www.google.ca/search?q=fake+vinyl+jawa&oq=fake+jawa+&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0.4227j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  4. Picked these up awhile back ago. Not really a Star Wars toy fan although like the movies. Price was just to good to pass up. First pic is complete or almost complete and 3rd pic is spredsheet of what is there. Yellow is complete, green is need something and then white dont have at all.. 2nd pic is doubles.
  5. Rubber deteriorates over time even when kept in ideal conditions. It dries out and just cracks then breaks under the strain. Anything that takes an o-ring needs the orings to be lubricated in which we don't lubricate the o-rings for joes. End result it breaks. Plastic also deteriorates over time. 1988 storm shadow comes to mind of always having issues with cracked elbow at rivet. Have one that when I got it it was fine and a little back was sorting my figures and noticed it was now cracked when all it has done is sit in a baggy in a box for years. Glue deteriorates over time as well and bubbles will release from the card. Right conditions and may even be quicker for it to release.
  6. Guess one above I attached is a type 1a. Never really thought about it while buying the books and just filling the holes regardless if they american or canadian newstand.
  7. I just collect whatever fills the hole be it Canadian or usd priced versions.
  8. Still on the hunt for a #129 arah in 9.2 raw or higher to finish my 155 run.
  9. Ran into a toy dealer I know locally and told him about the books I was looking for and he had a #17 which I will pick up on Wednesday. One more to go. Also saw a Special #1 online which I have been contemplating.
  10. Happy Canada Day to my friends on the cgc boards and to the world. Have a great July 1st and be safe.
  11. I don't get where they get that 7-15% for pst. I can see the 15% because we have hst but the low should be 6% unless I am missing something. If its based off gst as mentioned above then its 5%. (2) Saskatchewan increased the provincial sales tax rate effective March 23, 2017, as per their 2017 Budget.
  12. I am curious about that as well. Its a pain on certain books figuring it out. To bad it wasn't a raw book to look inside and check since if it was a third printing it would be labeled as such inside.
  13. Found a replacement copy of #133 which now I have both news stand and direct editions. Just happened that way when looking for an upgrade of it. Found also #132 and Mexico print of special missions #4 which is a whole $1500 which I bought just for fun Now need a replacement of #17 and only need #129 to have all 155. So close
  14. Found the final book and finished my European Missions.
  15. Wow they getting even greedier. They already juice people on a higher exchange rate on conversion then the banks do.
  16. One day I hope to find a Action #1 or a AF 15 at a garage sale.
