  1. As a collector of Raw's strictly for reading purposes unlike you- A collector of drek encased in plastic, I feel a sad state of affairs regarding shops like Paradise Comics, who take advantage of the civilized man and most likely child, who just want to collect for collecting purposes, are the reason why in twenty years about 80% of books will be encased in plastic. And I imagine the reaction in your emails, which you are failing or unwilling to divulge by a CGC employee, whom you have failed to mention (Kudos for your solidarity in this regard) who defends the collector over the tyranny of the LCS are clear evidence that these 'shops' are being exposed for the scourge within the collecting community that they are.
  2. It's you...but I digress there are some mixed reviews on the site. I have a good mind to offer up a Google review, and a negative one at that recommending that they come to the forums to check out what genuine collectors think of their service.
  3. I Google Mapped this company and @Hollywood1892 gave them a 5 star review! What is up with that?
  4. TBH I don't care much for you Hollywood! Truth be told I can't stand you, but that LCS that you submitted to sounds like a bunch of complete and utter incompetent scumbags who should have their business shut down, and maybe you can enlighten the board so others don't make the same mistake, unless that doesn't sit well with your fortitude.
  5. It was an amazing movie for non SJW's, in which I fully agree with the tactics deployed in attaining information
  6. You'd probably have more of a chance in striking it big investing in paper mills then comics
  7. Who cares what color the pages are, just as long as you can read the book
  8. Yeah. I was always under the impression that those GA Ashcans are worth a fortune
  9. It's been stressful for everyone, hang in there! It's inevitable that we will all 'bite the bullet' one day, We can take precautions, measures, whatever you will with this 'virus' but the worst thing we can do is allow it to change our way of life. It cannot be otherwise, we will die, but we might as well be happy while we live. What is the point of going out of our way and living in constant fear?
  10. Not much affects the asbestos man, but it will take about thirty years for his villainy to really take affect. I'd worry more about the coronavirus man.
  11. You could get 30 Brian Urlacher's for the price of one Tom Brady. Collecting confuses me.
  12. My mother has locked herself in the coldroom in the basement and wants to be fed through a makeshift slot in the door. The coronavirus has clearly affected her. Might toss her down some of my X-men run...
  13. As a collector I am surprised you didn't. I wonder how you're refusal made him feel? I would feel mortified if I was offering a signed copy of my book to someone and they said "No"
  14. It's not a big deal, I probably read too much. Apologies for throwing the thread off topic
  15. Agreed.... Unfortunately I do not have a high opinion of Stephen Ambrose as a historian, something about his writing style that throws me off so maybe I already had a hostile bias towards him before the series came out. There are so many better historians, but I haven't delved much into WW2, I would say Churchill did a good job in his series. I really enjoy reading Bernard Fall, S.L Marshall, Schwarzkopf (I like Autobiographies) Francis Fitzgerald, William Westmoreland. I found Ambrose sentence structure to be elementary
  16. The beach scene on Saving Private Ryan...end of Maybe Fury.... Inglorious Basterds.... Band of Brothers...absolutely not. I've read a few Ambrose books and compared to other Historians he is deplorable, even Eisenhower's Crusade in Europe, as text book as it was, was far better. So to adapt a television series based on his books...uggh.
  17. I get bored of movies with time eras between 1914-1918 and 1933-1945
  18. 2/10. If you like Margot Robbie then go see it. If you like girl goes crazy after breakup then go see it, but serious she was already insane before the breakup.
